"Write On"
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you so much for the donations for the whiteboards. With the chaotic school year, they have been a great use. The children took them home to use during our lessons online, when we were shut down. It gave my students the opportunity to do their work and then show me what they have accomplished. They were so excited to have their own whiteboard and have the opportunity to show me their work. I was able to easily tell them how they were doing and I could see all their work during the lessons. I was able to help them on the spot. Once again thank you for your donations!”

Funded Oct 30, 2020Thank you so much for giving my class the opportunity to take pictures of the things they do in class and of their friends. They are having a great time using the Canon camera to capture the things they love. They love taking home the photos to share with their family and friends. They hang up their pictures to remind them of the their friends, on the days they are not in school. They are learning how to zoom in and out, frame the things they are taking pictures of and learning all the functions. Thank you again for giving the children the opportunity to explore the world through a camera.”

All Systems Down! Laptop Crashed!
Funded Oct 19, 2020Thank you so much for funding this project. The laptop has been a blessing. After three weeks of school, we were shut down due to high number of covid cases in our area. I have been teaching from home since then. The one computer I had from work was giving me problems. Having this new laptop has helped me. Iam now able to assign work and teach online without issues. The lessons are going so much smoother and I am able to stay online with the kids to teach them. The kids were happy to know that you were able fund this project to help us all out. Unfortunately I have no pictures to show the children's excitement because we are still learning from home. Once again thank you for funding this project and giving me a new laptop, to make sure I am able to stay connected to my class.”

Funded Nov 11, 2019Thank you to all that helped fund the original project. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the conference due to the shutting down of events, because of the virus. I have used your donations for items that were needed in the classroom and to help aid in the new rules we need to follow to keep the children safe. It is greatly appreciated.
I bought books, bins and art supplies etc. Each child needs their own materials. It has become costly for me to purchase everything I need. This donation has helped make sure all the kids will have supplies while they are in school. They will be very grateful for all that you have given them. Being a Title 1 School and teaching ESL, as well as the parents learning english themselves, it brings some relief to all of us in many ways.
I hope to attend the conference that was rescheduled for next summer, and have a chance to share my experience.”

Funded Oct 14, 2019The children were so excited to revive a brand new listening center, headphones and organizer for our classroom. We have been without on for a while. They we're so excited to start listening and reading books while doing group work.
My class is mostly a second language class and it amazing to see how excited they are to learn English. They love being read to, as well as listening to books and other learning activities with the listening center. It's been a real joy for them to have a radio that works and they can hear everything clearly.”

Funded Dec 20, 2018My students and I are so grateful that you chose our project to fund. The children were so excited to use their new tablets to start learning. With one computer in my classroom, not every child was able to use the internet daily to go on the schools programs to learn to read and do math at school. Now I have the opportunity to get a group of 6 students or more on the tablets daily. Many of the children do not have the internet at home so they are excited to use the tablets as another learning source.”

Help: "Lost In Translation" Technology Update Needed!!!!
Funded Apr 14, 2013I would like to send my sincere thanks to everyone that took time to read about how I want to help my class succeed. Your donations were greatly appreciated. The iPad is used daily and has become a great additional aid in my classroom. The children are so excited and ask daily when its their turn to have fun using the iPad. The translation applications have been a great success as well.
I have been able to download so many wonderful applications. The children are showing improvement. The are becoming better writers, spellers and readers. They are learning and speaking more english everyday. The have improved in math as well. They enjoy seeing pictures and watching videos about the things we are learning in school. I can very easily show and explain things to them.
The translation application has been extremely helpful as well. I am able to speak to parents and have them better understand how they can help their children. The children always smile when I try to translate words. They think its so funny.
Once again, a great big "THANK YOU!!" from all that helped. My students were so amazed to learn about how there are people in the world, that want to help them learn and succeed in school.”

Hurricane Sandy: Bring The Arts Back To My Classroom!
Funded Nov 22, 2012One again, I would like to thank all that have contributed to my project. The art supplies have been a big success in the classroom. The children were so excited to see the new art supplies and asked right away when they could start using them.
The play-dough cutters are great. The children have been strengthening their hands by playing with the play-dough and love cutting out patterns and designs. The trays are great for helping me sort out projects for each table. We just used the dot art painters for our 100th day project. The children were so excited to use them. The scratch art paper will come to good use for our next art project. I look forward to using the sun catchers for a spring project.
The paint and paper were the most exciting gift for the children. Everyday they paint and create amazing pictures. It gives them a chance to express themselves through art. They are so excited to show off their pictures to class. The greatest thing to see, is the smiles on their faces. Thank you for helping put those smiles on their faces!”
