  • Animation is a 'STEAM' sport based on imagination.

    Funded Oct 18, 2017

If there is one thing that students get excited about its Lego's!!! So far students have been exploring the concept of building an image and taking snap shots of the images. They have been developing the concept of moving their image slowly so it looks like a movie. It's difficult to explain how excited students get when they see their own images created into a movie. Thank you so much for providing this great experience to our students! Not only does it help expand their creative skills but also, engineering and architect skills!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fitzmaurice

  • Molding Behavior in a Positive and Tolerant Way

    Funded Nov 4, 2017

My students are thrilled with all of the books you helped donate to our classroom! They insist on reading a new story every day and are disappointed if we don't have time. We are gaining more self awareness by pairing each book with an activity. One of their favorite books so far has been Chrysanthemum. This story taught them how it's okay to be different. It tickles me when I set these books out for students to read and notice that they are ALL check out moments later.

I have several students in my class that just can't stop moving. The fidgets have helped them immensely. They are able to move but still listen.

We really your support in our social learning efforts! My students will become more and positive and tolerant with each other because of these resources! Thank you so much!!”

    With gratitude,

  • Setting the "Science" Table

    Funded May 18, 2017

Thank you so much for all the science materials for my class! They will now be able to check out science/STEM materials from me to take home. My students and their parents are equally excited about this opportunity! We have far more than 50 percent of our school population that qualify for free and reduced services. So many of my students in my classroom are not able to get their hands on materials that directly relate to STEM/Science. This is such a fabulous way for them to explore , create and learn at home too.

I so appreciate your kind donations!”

    With gratitude,

  • Geometry is 3 Dimensional

    Funded Feb 17, 2017

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project. My students are thrilled with all the new manipulative's they have in order to create 3 dimensional shapes and objects. You can see their enthusiasm shine when they are building and creating. The manipulative's that you helped fund for our classroom help foster their creativity in math. They ask me constantly when math is in hopes that they will be able to use these awesome manipulative! You have helped create excitement in math for every child. Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Operation READ!

    Funded Jan 18, 2013

Thank you so much for all of your donations! The listening center that you helped fund is used almost every day in our classroom. We have Daily Five reading stations in the morning. This is a time when a group of students are able to sit and listen to books at the listening station. My students truly enjoy using it and I feel that there excitement towards the listening center is making them become better readers.

My students would never have been able to have this resource in our classroom without your help! I thank you again for your help and kind donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fitzmaurice

I have a small classroom full of 20 wonderful kindergarten students. My students are at all different levels of learning. Central Elementary is home to 406 young five through fifth grade students. Our educational programming uses research based practices and curriculum to assist all learners, focused instruction in language arts and mathematics, and common planning time for teachers at all grade levels to design, deliver, and assess a comprehensive, yet differentiated learning environment for all students. Each week our children have the opportunity to participate in physical education, music, computer instruction, library, art, and for our fifth grade students Spanish. Our well-rounded curriculum allows for students to accelerate in areas of interest and our teaching faculty encourages and facilitates exploration and mastery learning for all.
