I teach freshmen Biology. My students are curious, inquisitive, and love hands-on experiments. This public school is in a low income community where almost 100% of students receive free lunch, which means they are all below the poverty line. Most of my students are sons and daughters of immigrants who have not attended college. Although my students are facing many challenges, they remain optimistic and eager to learn. These students deserve the same access to laboratory equipment as any other students.
