Have you ever gone to Starbucks to work or study? It is a comfortable and inviting environment. They have many different types of places to sit and be comfortable. I want my classroom to have the same feel. I have transitioned my classroom to a flexible seating classroom this year. Flexible seating allows the student to choose a learning space that is most comfortable for them. It is a place where they can learn the best. My class loves flexible seating! They have a few yoga balls, a standing table, and some stools that are different from the traditional classroom seats right now. I would like to expand this in my room by adding a few more options to meet all my students' needs. I would like to add a few more wobble stools, some pillows and floor seats, and some bouncy bands for those that like a regular desk, but just want to move a little. These additions to my room would give us even more options and help create a learning environment where each student can learn and grow.
