  • Enhancing Print Environment

    Funded Apr 8, 2018

Thank your for your generous donations to purchase ink for our printer! With the ink I have been able to create a print rich environment that is full of visuals, hands on activities and color that will encourage and enhance my students love for learning, reading and literacy skill development. In addition, to providing behavioral supports to aid with making transitions, I have created a classroom that's exciting and full of color with labels galore that help my students identify, explore, and navigate the classroom independently and feel comfortable in doing so. Preschool is centered around learning through play, so it's very important to me that EVERYthing is meaningful and fun. I'm a very creative teacher and I LOVE to create AUTHENTIC, meaningful projects centered around our units of study. Thank you again for all of your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Huezo

This classroom project was brought to life by PNC Grow Up Great® and one other donor.
  • Enhancing Print Environment with an Inviting Environment

    Funded Feb 27, 2018

Thank your so much for your generous donation of our epson inject printer. With the inject printer, I am able to print words for our word wall and objectives around the room. I am also able to make copies for student weekly home activities packets, the monthly newsletter, pertinent information that needs to go home to parents, and student records and registration. With the inject printer students can print research that is being learned via the internet, for example, we were able to print multiple pictures for their recycling projects that they found through their internet research. Again, thank you so much for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Huezo

  • Pre-K Painting Artists!

    Funded Mar 11, 2016

Thank you for your generosity and kindness in fully funding my project pre-k painting artists! With the funds I was able to buy sufficient paint for two pre-school classrooms. With the paint, the students have access to a painting easel and full on art center. We have used to paint to for classroom projects such as making a classroom tree and making pretend washer and dryers in the dramatic play center.

The students have the opportunity to enhance their creativity through paintings.

Again, thank you for thinking of our students.”

  • Discovering and Investigating with Science All Around

    Funded Nov 8, 2012

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The students are completely estatic with the science materials that were purchased with your donations. They use the materials everyday for science exploration and inquiry. The pre-school age students are building a sense of scientific inquiry, observational skills, and increasing investigative skills. They thouroughly enjoy the materials. Due to donors like you, our students are building their academic skills for the world of tomorrow.

Due to the budget situation in our school, these type of materials are not available for our low-income students. Without donors like you, many classrooms would do without. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Huezo

All of my students come from a Latino/Hispanic background. For many of them their fist language is Spanish and unfortunately they are living within the poverty guidelines. However, they are extremely enthusiastic about coming to school everyday and learning new things. They're in need of the experiences that every child deserves, hence why we are asking for a more abundant and appropriate science center. A lot of our students want to be scientists and use what we have on a daily basis.
