  • Chart Chart Away!!! Anchor Charts for Continuous Learning

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you for providing the my classroom with the 3M anchor charts. They have become so helpful for student instruction! We have used the anchor charts to create student friendly anchor charts where the students use them to learn new vocabulary and concepts. The anchor charts have been used for writing activities where the students pretend to write and draw on them while placed on a classroom wall. We are incredibly grateful and thankful for the anchor charts will be used for many more lessons for at least the next two years.”

  • Learning the Alphabet With Magnetic Letters at Home!

    Funded Feb 7, 2024

Thank you for providing my students with magnetic letters and trays to help them increase their phonics skills at home. Each family received a jar of letters and a baking tray with an activity sheet that I created for all the families so that families could play with their child to learn and identify letters. Parents and students were both so excited and they have told me that they love to play with their children using the letters and students gravitate to them when they have been placed on the fridge. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.”

  • Learning Through Play Is So Much Fun!

    Funded Dec 29, 2023

Thank you for your kind generosity to donate a pretend ice-cream truck for the classroom. My students are having so much fun pretending to sell ice-cream just like the local "paletero" sell ice-cream in the neighborhood. They students are learning to use money skills and real-life social interactions. The students are developing their social-emotional skills by learning to take turns to be the person to sell the ice-cream and the other person to be the buyer. • Learning through Dramatic Play Is so Much Fun!

    Funded Dec 16, 2023

Thank you so much for the Pretend Grocery Store for their dramatic play center!!! My students absolutely love it! They are enjoying having fun and learning in that center every day. My students are learning early math skills using pretend money and pretending to buy items just as their parents do in the grocery store. They are learning all the social skills that are needed to communicate when interacting with others in this very real social setting. They are learning to categorize foods by their type: Frozen, liquids, fruits, vegetables, meats and proteins and grains that are all related to their current unit of study, the exercise unit. Thank you so much for your generosity. My students are incredibly grateful.”

All of my students come from a Latino/Hispanic background. For many of them their fist language is Spanish and unfortunately they are living within the poverty guidelines. However, they are extremely enthusiastic about coming to school everyday and learning new things. They're in need of the experiences that every child deserves, hence why we are asking for a more abundant and appropriate science center. A lot of our students want to be scientists and use what we have on a daily basis.
