  • New School Supplies Make Going Back to School Exciting!

    Funded Sep 17, 2024

Thank you for investing in the students at my school. With your donation I was able to purchase many things that the students have used to write, focus, decorate, and store their work.

The study dividers have provided them a way to focus on their work and will also be very useful when they take the English Language Proficiency Test later this school year. The big supply of pencils has been invaluable as they not only use them in my room, but ask to take one back to their classroom. I am thankful I am able to supply them with good quality pencils to complete their classwork. The mini notebooks have provided them an exciting way to practice their writing and use as journals. The gel pens are great for decorating their work when needed and the storage pouches help keep me organized.

    Your kindness is appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Riehl

  • Organize Against the Rodents!

    Funded Feb 8, 2024

Thanks to your help, I am now able to store snacks for my students. The snacks are in clear plastic containers and the rodents will not be able to get to them. The containers look so snazzy that students think it looks like a little store. They also help me organize and keep the snacks stocked in a way that I can easily see what I have available.

The students are so grateful to have something to eat while they are learning. It also makes them feel extra special. My students definitely know that they are cared for!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Riehl

  • My Stomach Is Grumbling, I Cannot Focus!

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

My students love having snacks when they come to class. They have learned the routine of coming in, getting a snack, and settling in to work. We also have a system for storing what they did not finish for the next day! They look forward to having something to munch on while they work.

Your kindness has helped my students focus better on their work and allowed them to put all of their energy into learning. It is important to me to help each child be ready to learn and meet their needs to get them there. I cannot do it alone because it takes a village. Thank you for being a part of my village.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Riehl

  • Life Skills on the Playground!

    Funded Sep 24, 2023

Before this project was funded, the students had very little to play with at recess. They either crowded onto our small play structure, or got themselves into trouble. Now that they have this selection of toys to play with they are busier, happier and playing in a more positive way.

The students run to the cart of toys everyday to find something to do. They enjoy hula hooping, throwing the football, drawing with the chalk, jumping on the pogo stick and so much more. It is so wonderful to see them engaged in positive play.

Without your donation, none of this would be possible. Thank you so much for your kindness!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Riehl

  • Positive Attention For Struggling Children

    Funded Oct 20, 2022

So far I have been able to gather two different groups of students to put together these special STEM projects. The impact has been huge! For example, I showed the principal one of the pictures of the students with their finished project and she said, " I haven't seen a smile like that on him, ever." The students that have come are excited and feel very special to be a part of the event. They have to work through the difficulty of assembling each project and when they are able to complete a part of it on their own they feel so proud of themselves! Your generosity is making a difference at Harrison Park!”

    With gratitude,

  • Science All Around Us!

    Funded Jan 17, 2022

My students are super enthusiastic about Science. When I presented them with the science materials that would now be their own they were overwhelmed with joy. The energy in the room made me happy as well. They could not believe that the rattlebacks and the magnets with the magnetic chips were theirs to keep. They were engaged with the science materials for several minutes and were not ready to put them away when it was time. Your donation made this possible and elevated their love of science.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Riehl

The materials I am requesting are to be used at home. My students absolutely love learning about science in school. I want to send that spark home with them and give them the ability to explore further something we have been studying in school. I work with students in six different classrooms from grade k-5 and would like to give each and everyone of them something to take home. The k-2 students will receive the magnetic wand and magnetic counters to experiment with. The 3rd - 5th grade will receive the rattleback to peak their curiosity of science.
