• Renew First Grade Weekly Scholastic Reader Subscription

• Important General Supplies for First Grade Students

  Having these much needed supplies in my classroom has truly had a positive impact on learning in my first grade. We use these supplies on a daily basis. It is wonderful to know that the needed supplies are available when necessary. We go through so many supplies of various types during our work times.

  Many of my students cannot bring in the basic supplies that we use in class. Therefore, it is so great to have these supplies in the classroom to help supplement what was brought in by a couple of students. Again, having these supplies in the classroom has had a positive effect on the growing in learning for my first graders.”

• Renew Weekly Scholastic News Magazine

  Each year, for several years now, I have been lucky enough to receive funding for the Weekly Scholastic Readers. My students love the weekly lesson with the scholastic reader. We use the physical magazine and the on line resources to study the up to date topics. Having these readers in class has had a very positive impact on my first graders.

  I love the fact that children get to take the reader home and share it with family. Utilizing the weekly Scholastic Reader has benefited my first graders. We love to read and discuss the material each week. This is a great resource that we use each week.”

• General Supplies Needed for First Grade Classroom

  The general supplies from this project has been such a wonderful addition to my classroom resources. Having the supplies on hand when needed has saved time and frustration. When students don't have the item we are working with, I can go to the storage area and get what is needed without hassle. This saves so much unneeded trouble during the school day.

  We have used these supplies to help us complete our daily work. All the supplies come in very handy during the day. Students know to just ask if they need something. Having these supplies int eh room has provided so much peace of mind to me and my students.”

• New Magnetic Letters Needed

  Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to get magnetic letters donated through this wonderful resource. But, over the years of use, they have become missing, or damaged. Therefore, having these new magnetic letter for learning has truly benefited my first graders. We use the upper and lower case magnetic letter to create words on the whiteboard. Students work in this station during our literacy rotations.

  My first graders love working with the new magnetic letters. They have truly been a wonderful new addition to our collection of letters.”

• New Materials Needed to Refresh Work Stations

  Funded May 24, 2024

  My students have been able to use the new materials to refresh my literacy station to help them learn. Students have been excited to use the new supplies to help them work int he literacy stations. We have refreshed the materials because after many years of use, the old supplies were worn out. I brought in students from three years ago, and they noticed the new supplies and how much better the supplies are now. My current first graders are benefiting from having the new supplies.

  It has been so "refreshing" to have new supplies and materials for my first grade students to work with to engage them in their learning.”

• Pencils and Supply Bins Needed

  Having the pencils and pencil supply boxes in the classroom has been so wonderful! It is so great to know that I have the needed supplies available for students to use. We use so many pencils in first grade, it is great to have a back up supply of pencils! I also have prepared the supply boxes with the needed classroom supplies so when a new student arrives and doesn't have supplies, I can just get one of the premade supply boxes.

• Manila Drawing Paper Needed

  Funded Mar 27, 2024

  Having the manilla paper in the classroom to use whenever needed has been super helpful. Students utilize this resource to practice math skills and writing skills. We often get a piece of the paper, fold it into 4 squares and work within those boxes.

  This paper is super useful. My first graders know that they can use this paper to help them with math problems or just to draw on. We use this paper so much during the school day! It has been so great having the packs of paper in the classroom ready to use whenever. Thank you for sending this super useful resource to my classroom.”

• Pencils, Coloring Pencils and Pencil Sharpeners Needed!

  I can't accurately describe home much of a positive impact these supplies have had on my first grade class. Let's start with the regular pencils. We go through SO MANY pencils in the week. Having these boxes of already sharpened pencils has provided a hassle free and less time wasted experience for my class. Students can just get a pencil when they need one.

  Now, the coloring pencils have been a super addition to our classroom. Students love to color with the various colors of coloring pencils. Of course, the pencil sharpeners are invaluable. We can quickly get our pencils ready t use with these heavy duty sharpeners.

• Book Sets For Social Emotional Learning and Non Fiction Books

  These new books have been a welcome addition to the classroom. My students love using these new books during the school day. Students have engaged in individual and partner reading with the books. Then we discuss what they learned from the readings.

  My first graders have been able to learn many new things from these books. We will continue to rotate these books in and out of my Reading Station so students get exposed to all of them. They love to share what they have learned from these new books.
