Student Representation Matters
Funded Aug 9, 2023I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support of my classroom. Your contributions made this dream a reality and I appreciate each and every one of you. Through your help, I am creating a learning environment that celebrates my students' unique identities, abilities, lifestyles, and cultures.
My students have been making the most of the materials that this project funded. The stickers, silly straws and pencils have been a huge hit in the classroom and have been incredibly motivating for students to achieve their goals and celebrate their milestones. It's been an absolute joy to witness them having access to books and materials that are student-centered and foster equity and inclusion. There is nothing like seeing the smiles on students' faces when they pick up a book and see themselves represented within the pages, or when they have art materials at their fingertips that allow them to accurately illustrate themselves. These books and materials made a positive impact on my students and they will continue to serve this purpose for years to come.
I truly appreciate you helping me to ensure that my students are represented and celebrated within our classroom community. On behalf of my entire class, we thank you from the bottom of ours hearts.”

Mrs. Marrelli
Excited to Be Back Together Again!
Funded Sep 20, 2021Words are not enough to fully express my gratitude to the many generous and caring people who supported this classroom project. Without your thoughtful contributions, my students would not have had access to these valuable materials. My students were thrilled when the special delivery made its way into our classroom. Though you might not be able to see their smiles beneath their masks, let me assure you, their excitement was unmistakable.
These supplies have had a direct impact on my students' school experience. The individual art materials have been a wonderful addition to the classroom; they have allowed my students to express their creativity and have fun safely. Their art projects have brightened our classroom walls and the students will be able to cherish their work for years to come. Now that students have their own desks, the head phones, desk organizers and labels have been extremely effective in maintaining an organized classroom, and the abundance of individual supplies have been very helpful in limiting exposure between students, which is very necessary in the current climate.
Thank you for helping me to ensure my students are still able to collaborate on interactive projects and have fun while working hard, but in a way that is safe for everyone. Please know that your donations will continue to make a positive difference for my students and me for months to come. On behalf of my entire class, thank you! We appreciate each and every one of you!”

Mrs. Marrelli
Read Along With Kindergarten!
Funded Jan 30, 2018Thank you for your thoughtful donations toward this project. The listening center has been such an incredible addition to my classroom. My students love to hear the new stories and follow along while they listen. It has quickly become many students' favorite spot in my classroom. To see their smiles as they listen to stories makes me very grateful for everyone who helped support this project. It was your generosity and kindness that brought the listening center to my students.
Now, during reading time, you can see a small group reading with the teacher, students reading books independently or with a buddy, and students listening to books at the listening center. Giving my students various experiences to engage with books has only increased their love of reading.
The activities at the listening center encourage my students to think critically about the stories they hear. The stories introduce my students to new vocabulary, a variety of characters and engaging plots. They're being exposed to books above their reading levels so their interest levels continue to expand. Thank you for helping to foster a love of reading among my students. My students and I are so grateful for your support in making this project possible.”

Funded Oct 12, 2017Thank you for supporting my classroom and believing in the work I do with my students! I truly appreciate your generous donations toward my flexible seating project. The wobble stools, cushions and clipboards have made a positive difference in my classroom's learning environment. By supporting this project, you have helped my students exercise choice about how they best learn.
On the day the package of materials arrived, there was an excited buzz among the children. They were thrilled to begin using these flexible seating options in the classroom. After unpacking the wobble stools, cushions and clipboards, we discussed the purpose of their new school materials, as well as the expectations. Weeks later, the initial excitement still has not faded! My kindergartners use these flexible seating options on a daily basis. Now when you walk into my classroom, you are bound to see kindergartners sprawled out on the carpet working on clipboards, sitting on cushions throughout the room and rocking on wobble stools while they complete their work. Students feel comfortable getting up and moving around to meet their academic needs. At the young age of five, my kindergartners are already starting to verbalize how they best learn. I have noticed improved concentration and motivation among my students because they are taking control of how they want to learn.
Your support made this project possible and for that I am deeply grateful. This experience has motivated me to expand on the flexible seating options available in my classroom. In the future, I would like to add lap trays, scoop rockers and more clipboards to my classroom collection. Most importantly, I will continue to offer students choice and encourage independence in all aspects of their learning journey. Thank you again for helping my classroom to be the best it can be!”

Boosting Literacy With Interactive Technology
Funded Oct 5, 2015Dear Donors,
I would like to thank each and every one of you for your generous support in making the Promethean Board a reality.
With this new technology students are more excited to engage in the lessons. This interactive resource allows students to access many of the multiple intelligences: kinesthetic, visual, interpersonal, verbal and more! We are using it for writing, reading, editing, art, as well as watching educational clips. Students are able to write on the board with special electronic pens, as well as their fingers. We can interact with different websites, similar to an iPad. Students are taking more ownership over their learning because rather than the teacher managing and delivering the lesson from the front of the room or on a computer, the students are able to take control of the touchpad screen. They are gaining new technology skills daily, which will only help them in their future educational journey.
There is a new sense of excitement and collaboration in the classroom. This technology is for group use so it does not promote isolation or act as a communication barrier. Rather, the students are eager to help each other in their learning when they are accessing the Promethean Board. The student focus and interest has increased, as well. Students are paying attention because they have a genuine interest to interact with the technology and the information being shared. They are even eager to use this learning tool in their free time!
Not only has this Promethean Board improved the learning environment of my students, but it has also helped to improve my instruction. I am constantly learning new functions and programs that the board offers that can enhance my lessons. It is fun to grow as a learner along with my students!
I am so thankful for the incredible outpouring of support for my students. This tool is an invaluable learning resource that will continue to benefit my students and the multiple children that will come into contact with it in the future.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Marrelli
