My students are in a Title 1 school and come from diverse backgrounds. Most of these Kindergarten students stay for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The majority of these students are ELL's and need concrete items they can touch and manipulate to help them learn. They come to school with little to no understanding of what a number is and unable to count to five. They need memorable ways to create numeracy.
