  • Charting for Success and Access

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

My teachers, students, and I thank you for your generous donation that has allowed math and other areas of concentration to be elevated for success! With this donation math instruction has increased with us being able to show visuals models of math vocabulary and it has allowed students to be able to show their group thinking on charts. The use of charts has also elevated the level of discussion in math. We use charts daily in our instruction and it has allowed students to grow as mathematician to work towards meeting grade level standards. Thank you!!!”

  • IPad Pro for Professional Development Sessions

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you for your generosity in this donation. As a literacy coach I am able to learn with adults in increasing their pedagogical practices by using the ipad to do demo and learning activities to increase student learning. The work I do to support students in reading is unsurpassed with this donation. I work with students in reading to assess their needs; as well as, reading with them in classroom as I work side-by-side with the teachers I coach. This ipad serves a dual purpose in increasing student learning at the school. Thank you so much!”

    Funded Mar 23, 2020

The charts have allowed for direction and explicit instruction to occur in the differnt classroom I work in across three schools. It takes the teaching to the next level allowing for teacher models to elevate the learning for students through explicit modeling practices. I truly thank you for supporting this work and making learning attainable for students through explicit models for access and application. The teachers and I are appreciative for this opportunity for learning to be taken to the next level.”

  • Student Library Expansion

    Funded Jan 10, 2022

I want to sincerely THANK YOU for your generosity to our reading and learning this year. As COVID had presented a challenge with sharing resources and these books would further our reading goals and provide each student with a set of books they can read for our daily independent and classroom reading times. Thank you so much, again.”

    With gratitude,

  • 504 Readers

    Funded Mar 9, 2020

During this difficult time of students not being in the building I was able to take the donation and give the students a gift of reading for the summer. The idea of gifting the donation is to keep up their reading stamina as they prepare for Middle School.

They enjoyed receiving the book and discussing the theme and series of events. They made personal connections and discussed why we should have HOPE during these times and reading is a way for them to escape while being quarantined. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to bring a sense of normalcy to the students by giving them books.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Robinson

  • 504 Reading Lives

My students and I thank you so much for your generosity of reading. We look forward to our reading from this donation. We are in the process all because of you! I can’t wait to share the news with my students. Wishing you all the best for a pleasant holiday season from 504 and I.”

  • Time for Kids Close Reading

    Funded Jan 23, 2019

The donation of these magazines is helping my students become stronger readers of nonfiction through the work that we are doing with close reading. They are making great strides in learning about text features and how to read using those features to understand the content better. They are also looking at text structure using the lens of knowing what structures of the articles used to communicate facts and details in their articles about different topics. Last, they are building an understanding of the burning questions authors use to write the article featured in the different magazines we have received.

Thank you, because of this awesome donation we are becoming stronger readers and better citizens through what we are learning about our world through these subscriptions.

    Kind regards,

    Laticia Robinson”

    With gratitude,
