STEM Building Planks
Funded Nov 18, 2022I have used these blocks in grade kindergarten through grade 5. Each class with differentiation to meet the needs of each grade level. In grades kindergarten and grade 1 we used the planks to learn about symmetry through an activity called Mirror Mirror.
In grade 2 and 3 we worked on building strong structures that will withstand outside forces such as wind.
In grade 4 and 5, we used the planks to build ramps to show the effects of friction on objects.
All in all, these planks are so useful in all of my STEM classes. Thank you for your donations.”

iPads Please!
Funded Dec 30, 2013Thank you so much for the donation. We have been using our new iPads daily during math. The students have been using them to build their math fact fluency. We have also had an opportunity to use them to conduct research for a planet project. We use the dictionaries on a daily basis. The Keane Class has made many important discoveries using the iPads as research vehicles and we look forward to using them daily from now until the end of the year. As a teacher, I look forward to using the iPads with future classes. Thank you again.”

White Board Tables-Math OUR Way
Funded Nov 3, 2012I am writing today to let you know about the positive impact your donation has made on our classroom. Since receiving the white board paper, my students are excited and engaged in learning. They fully participate in all aspects of the curriculum. They love to show off their work and are responsible and thoughtful when using these materials. The tables are used for daily math problems, phonics work, and for scientific exploration.
Thank you so much. These old, tired tables are now fun work spaces that the students not only enjoy but use in thoughtful learning every day.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Keane
