Band Supplies to Help The Band Play On
Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you for your donations! Our advanced band members are now getting ready to perform at our district music performance evaluations. They are excited to be using the mouthpieces and other equipment that was donated.
They were surprised and super happy that someone, other than their loved ones, showed an interest in their music education.
As our band program continues to grow, we are looking into different ways of obtaining more instruments.
In the mean time, we are moving forward on preparing our competition pieces with more confidence than before.

Music Recording Center in Need!
Funded Oct 13, 2016First of all, thank you so much for your donation to our school's recording center. The lap top computer you donated has allowed our music students to continue to record their music for assessment and other educational purposes. My students also learn how to use this type of technology (digital music recording).
My students are very excited to learn how microphones connect to computers and record music, and also learn to edit music in digital format. They can make their performances sound as if they recorded in a tiny music studio or a giant opera house. the possibilities are endless when editing music.
My most advanced students are benefiting from this type of technology as they use the recordings to assess and improve their skills. I am, however able to use this technology with all my classes. They all feel like superstars when I record their classes' performances!”

Recruiting Musicians Through Images
Funded Oct 24, 2014Thank you for making our project, "Recruiting Musicians Through Images", a success! All the pictures and videos that were taken with the donated camera, were used to create a recruiting presentation. All the music teachers from the elementary schools that feed into our middle school will receive a copy of that presentation so that they may share it with all their 5th grade students. We are hoping that they will become more aware of the opportunities available to them in our middle school band program.

Funded Oct 15, 2013Thank you for your generous gift to the HGMS Band in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. Thanks to your contribution and commitment to the cause of music education in our school, we are able to increase student participation in band, and provide the needed supplies for kids who,due to various factors would not be able to afford. They were pleasantly surprised that other people, besides their parents, are willing to encourage them to continue to make music.
My students and I are using the donated items everyday in band class. We are happy to be playing the new sheet music for both our Concert and Jazz Bands. The reeds that we received were given to the students that could not afford to buy their own. The protective percussion cases are being used to store our concert snare drums so they are kept safe while not in use.
The funding of this project has boosted my students' self confidence by believing that what they do in band class is important to members of the community (locally and nationally). Our band parents are also motivated to keep providing as much support as possible to the music education in our school. Through the new music we received, I am able to teach different styles of music to my students. This has allowed me to keep their interest in an art form that is slowly being taken out of our public school system. Thank you for caring and helping us keep music education alive.”

Funded Mar 31, 2008On behalf of my music students and myself, I would like to thank all of the donors that made this project a reality. Your generosity is truly appreciated. The music equipment funded by this project will be used by my students for many years to come. Our choral presentations will be better now, and my students will feel more confident knowing that they are working with professional gear. This, in turn, will make our concerts sound more professional also. Thank you, once again, for providing my music students with an important tool for learning.
