Hands-on Science Classroom
Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you so much for donating materials to my students. We are extremely grateful for your contribution to our science classroom. We have used the materials in various labs. For example, we covered energy transformations using the energy conversion kit. Students were deeply engaged in their learning experience. They were excited to use hands on materials where they could visually see the energy transformations. That kind of experience could not have been possible without your help. Thank you so very much.”

The Art of Science
Funded Oct 9, 2015I will like to thank you again for your donation to my classroom. All the materials were received and promptly put to use. The glue is used on a daily basis to glue our lessons to the student journals. The markers and big sticky pads are used by the students and me to make our classroom a more literacy rich environment. The duct tape was used to build race cars and will soon be used to build rockets during our Space unit.
The students were really excited about all the materials, specially the safety glasses that are so colorful and useful. They were really excited about the markers and couldn't wait to use them. The students felt, some for the first time, that they are important to other people besides their teachers. Thanks for helping them understand that their education benefits us all and it is important. Thanks for helping them understand that their future is OUR future.”

Thanks so much for all the materials, the students really enjoyed having poster paper and very vibrant colors to make their projects. thanks so much for making my students happy and motivated to work.”

The Wonderful World of Science
Funded Oct 11, 2013Thank you is not enough, as we received the materials the students excitement was growing. The students wanted to do the next laboratory so that they could look like "real scientists" wearing their lab coats. This was the first time for many of my students to put on a laboratory coat. Some of them ask me to help them put them on. It was magic that day in Science class and by lunch the whole school knew Mrs. William's students "are using lab coats". The quality of the work as improve also, now they say Science class is serious business. The mineral kits were used during our Earth science unit, the students were able to grow their own minerals and take them home. They studied the crystals and some girls made jewelry with the minerals. During that same unit we had a big project in which the students were able to build models of land forms and the Earth layers. Glue was required in great amounts and thanks to your contribution it was available and used by the students. Now, as we start our Space unit students are really excited to know that they have duck tape to make sturdy rockets. Thanks so much for your help, it made a great difference in my students educational experience.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Southeast Area Kia Retailers and 3 other donors.Superstars of Science
Funded Oct 24, 2012Thank you is simply not enough, I am really grateful for your donations and I am sure the students are thankful too. The markers were used right away and the students created wonderful posters about the planets that are now being displayed in our hallway. The students were so proud of their colorful projects, they presented their projects to the class and to the principal.
They use the glue almost every day. The journals are a great tool for classwork and exam reviews. Now we are creating more foldables than ever since now I know they have the materials to make these journals interactive and organized.
The safety glasses and rockets were a big success! They loved opening the bags and taking out those new safety glasses. The students loved the way they looked with the safety glasses on, and I really enjoyed not having to tell them to keep them on throughout the laboratory experience. The rockets were a huge success! The students didn't even realized they were learning because it was so much fun. Thanks so much for helping me give science to my students! Thanks for helping me make science a great subject for them.”
