ABCs and Leveled Texts for Literacy!

These engaging materials have helped support my students in their literacy journeys. Without these books, my students wouldn't have had enough interaction with texts that meet them where they are, and support them in what they need. Sensory Phonics Fun!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generation donation! I cannot tell you how incredibly excited my students were to see these jelly boards! It is by far their favorite sight word center to date. These multi-sensory materials really help me motivate my students in terms of their sight words/phonics skills. We use these materials every single day in our classroom and they are highly sought out! Thank you for helping me help my students and create learning opportunities for them that will really make the learning stick!”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you SO much for your generation donation! My classroom library was completely lacking level B books however, this year I have so many B level students. My students now have several books to choose from to read each week. The books I received are appropriate and engaging! These books are the perfect vehicle to help my students practice pointing to each word while they read, following a pattern, and identifying sight words. These books are also super engaging and silly! My students absolutely LOVE them. Thank you again!”

Thanks to you, I have so many materials that I can use to make my lessons the most motivating and engaging they can be. One of my students' favorite donation is the flashlights! On Fridays, one way I motivate my students is by doing Flashlight Friday. The lights are off and the students use their flashlights to help them focus on their reading. They also get to choose a book buddy and this is by far, the highlight of their week. Thank you again for helping me help my students!”

Funded Nov 29, 2021Thank you SO much for your incredibly generous donation!! Thanks to you, my students are so excited about our classroom library. The book bins we received will now allow me to organize my library in a much more exciting and engaging way. The students are beyond thrilled to see all of the different book series they can now book shop for! We now have plenty of baskets for all of the wonderful books in our classroom library. I was able to spread them out and present them in a much more meaningful way.
When the students saw me unpacking the boxes and organizing all of our new books, they couldn't contain themselves. They kept asking me if they could help and when they could start reading all of the new books!

We Need a Printer!!
Funded Apr 26, 2021Thank you so much for this essential addition to my classroom! Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to have access to a working printer for the remainder of the school year!
This printer allowed me to provide my students with engaging materials and resources that certainly enhanced and supported their learning!
I could also print something in the middle of the day if I realized it would help support a certain student's needs. This wouldn't have been possible without your donations!

Funded Dec 15, 2020I can't thank you enough for being so generous and allowing me to expose my students to such great books! These books have really allowed the students to see themselves in literature and serve as windows and mirrors for them.
I've been able to have amazing read aloud discussions using these books! Students have really been using their conversational skills and higher level thinking as they agree, disagree, or add on to each other's thoughts.
Reading looks a bit different this year, but having these books allows me to still be able to provide the students with amazing books that will help them not only grow and learn, but identify and connect with the stories as well.

Chapter Books Needed to Challenge First Grade Readers!
Funded Mar 18, 2019My class and I are so incredibly grateful for these amazing chapter books! These books allow my students to practice many new skills that aren't accessible through regular picture books. The students have been working on keeping track of a longer text, retaining the information in each chapter, and making connections across the book.
At this point in first grade, many of my readers are ready for chapter books and thanks to you, I'm able to provide them with these great books to help them further their skills as readers. They are able to use these books for independent reading, partner reading, and book clubs as well.
Adding these books to my classroom library gave my library an upgrade for sure! All of my students are aspiring to be chapter book readers! Thank you so much for giving my students not only resources, but the motivation to keep on growing and learning as a reader!”

In Desperate Need of Technology!
Funded Dec 10, 2018I can't begin to tell you how excited my students were to receive these amazing tablets! They could not wait to use them! Right now in our classroom, the tablets are being used during reading time. They are an incredible resource as it gives the students access to an online library of various leveled books. They also serve as a support to struggling readers as the books can be read to the students and each word is highlighted as it is read.
This is a natural motivator for students and has created even more excitement around reading in our classroom! The students come to school in the morning and the first thing they do is check the chart to see if today is their tablet day. They can't wait to see what new books they are going to read on the tablet. I'm also hoping to begin to add the tablets into our math routine as well. This way, the students can practice their math skills by playing games on the tablet.
It was so unbelievably generous of you to donate these tablets to our classroom. Some students don't have access to technology at home and so to be able to provide my students with this access is incredible. My entire class is so grateful for your generous donation. Thank you again!!!”
