When students enter my classroom, they are greeted with walls of colorful inspiration of what their school year will look like. But realistically, my next group of students may never know that. As we make plans for possibly doing remote learning again in CPS, my students could potentially stay in their homes and never get a chance to explore and experiment with multiple mediums in my art classroom. So let's help my students transform their homes into a creative environment and provide each one with their very own Artist Creativity Tool Kits! Of course, this is all possible with your help! This time around, students will be able to learn about color theory/mixing with the use of Crayola color pencils and Sakura oil pastels. Students will also be able to learn about the beauty behind value transitions and blending with these awesome Dick Blick drawing pencils......not to mention how handy the eraser and sharpener will be! With access to these basic classroom materials, my students will still be able to develop skills and techniques as best as possible during remote learning in the fall. A picture can speak a thousand words, and with your help, my students will discover the importance of communicating their creative intentions with the help of these awesome tool kits. Soon, those voices can be brought into our virtual classroom and be transformed into personalized visual representations.
