The school I teach at is a Title I school in Arizona. I teach about 115 8th grade students who come from different socio-economic backgrounds. Many of the students come from families that struggle financially, and are unable at times to provide all of the school supplies. My students are wonderful and very motivated to learn about history. Allowing them the opportunity to read this novel to enhance and personalize the lesson on the Holocaust will be a great experience.
