  • Just the Beginning: Book Series to Engage Readers

    Funded Dec 18, 2017

My students and I are so excited about our new books. We have read books together by some of the same authors. My students love to read and these books will be read repeatedly before the end of the year. I picked book series so that hopefully I can give my students new book series and authors to explore. You are helping my students become life-long readers! I am so very thankful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lanier

  • Reading Adventures: Ender's Game

    Funded Dec 19, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom! We have begun exploring the unique world of the future in Ender's Game. I am using the text to expand students' vocabulary and to open discussions about the possible future global economic and political changes. My students are genuinely intrigued by this remarkable, relatable story. It is exciting to see them motivated to read!

I am sure you know that budget constraints often limit what my school is able to provide as resources for our classroom, and I often use my personal finances to purchase items for my students to use. Therefore, I am very grateful for your donations. You are promoting reading, thinking, and academic success in my classroom. Without donors like you, my students would not have these items that I am able to use to teach and hopefully inspire the students who will one day become the leaders of tomorrow. Once again, thank you so very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lanier

Thank you so much for funding the materials for my classroom! I am very excited to let my students know that you have given items that will help them learn about Forces and Motion. The students will enjoy using the kits to build machines. They will gain a much deeper understanding of simple machines by watching the video you provided. • Landforms

    Funded Dec 21, 2007

Thank you so much for your donation. My students will greatly benefit from the items that you are donating to our classroom. I know they will thoroughly enjoy building landforms and looking at how landforms are made and how they change over time. This will be a great surprise for them when we return to school from Christmas vacation. Once again thank you!

  • Weather Or Not - Weather Instruments

    Funded Oct 10, 2007

I am thrilled to hear that you have sponsored our Weather Forecasting Project. I know my students will thoroughly enjoy using the weather instruments, clouds poster, and water cycle model to explore how weather is created, changes, and is measured. The students will be very excited to get to actually use these items, rather than merely look at a picture or read about them. Thank you so very much. Maybe together we will inspire some future meteorologists”
