Since many students in my class have a hard time communicating or participating in any lessons. I started implementing a variety of games at least once a week. Each of these games required students to work with each other and work as a team. Games allow students to learn about each other, find hidden talents and encourage them to build a positive classroom. While playing games, students can appreciate the differences that make us each unique and celebrate a classroom community. Games can be more academic or use a particular skill set; some require strategy. Still, other games might just be funny and encourage students to talk. Each of the games or activities requires more than one student. Many can be adapted to play with the entire class. When students feel a part of something more than themselves, they can achieve greatness.
