  • Photography Club: Beyond the Naked Eye

    Funded Nov 23, 2022

Thank you for supporting this project. My students will now be able take stunning images with a camera and use the images in more creative ways. I am super excited to see my students evolve into more artistic photographers. When I started with the club, I said I could make it work because every child has a cell phone. Every child does not have a cell phone and this project puts a camera into the hands of every scholar in the photography club. Thank you so much for your time, attention and support to this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Frazier

  • Knowledge Is Power and Knowledge Is Achieved Through Reading!

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

I am typing this with tears of gratitude. I am so very humbled by your generosity. I cannot wait for my students to find out that our project was funded. Between the times that I submitted the project until now, our excitement and challenge for reading more books has grown. We are in the process of starting a book club and the Chromebooks will make our book club experience more engaging and authentic. My students love reading about characters, environments, and situations that reflect their lives and offer alternatives to their circumstances. Thank you. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Frazier

The pleasure of smelling and holding a book in your hands is exhilarating because we grew up with actual books. This is the same exhilaration that my students have when holding a digital device. My students will gain access to more books through free Ebooks with these devices. My struggling students will be able to access more books based on their interest and reading levels, and my advance readers will able to access more books on their reading levels. We challenge students to read at least 30 minutes daily within their reading range to increase academic success. These devices will level the reading field and provide greater access to knowledge for the entire student population of my school. Instead of waiting nearly three months for the processing of new library books, students will have more immediate access to new releases.
