Fun, Flexible Seating
Funded Jan 9, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students love their new fun flexible seating. We need to draw names each day to give different students an opportunity to try out the new seats. When the students first saw the seats the joy and excitement was fabulous to see! They were immediately working when I let them know they would have an opportunity to try them out.
The seats have also impacted learning for students that have difficulty focusing and staying in one place for a 90 minute block period. The students have really started to self regulate which will allows them to focus on their studies to be more successful in math class.
I have already started a new project for more seating so more students can benefit from the flexible options. We truly appreciate your generous donations.”

Funded Dec 8, 2020Thank you so much for the Air Pods. Teaching remotely hasn't been easy this year. The kids were having difficulty focusing on me with background noise. The Air Pods have really allowed them to stay focused by blocking out other noise. This will definitely impact the students learning in a positive manner.
Also, the Air Pods allow me the freedom to get up and show the students things instead of being stationary in one location. This is very helpful for myself as well as the children.
We really appreciate all of your help during this challenging time in education. We have jumped over many hurdles to help our students succeed during the past year and your donation really helps with their success.”

Funded Aug 10, 2020Thank you so much for your tremendous help with online learning. My students really struggled with not having visuals in real time last spring. They were able to hear my voice but not able to see my process to solving questions. This donation has changed that by allowing the kids to see in real time step by step how to complete a math problem. Now they have visuals as I explain a new process along with a verbal explanation.
Live teaching is so much more successful with students being able to ask questions as I show each step in the process. The Apple Pen has allowed me to demonstrate what I am verbally telling the students. They are participating more and asking questions. Some of the kids have even stated they feel like they are back in an actual classroom looking at a SmartBoard.
The students want to be successful and this new technology is allowing them the opportunity to succeed in a safe learning environment.”

Funded Aug 10, 2020Thank you so much for your tremendous help with online learning. My students are able to see in real time step by step how to complete a math problem. Now my Algebra kids have visuals as I explain a new process along with a verbal explanation. They are having needs met that weren't met at all last spring. The students are participating more as they feel they are part of the lesson.

Funded Jun 1, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation of our new I-Pad Charging Station. It is really going to help make our classroom run more efficiently. Last year we were lucky enough to have eleven I-Pads donated to our classroom but we ran into some minor issues. The biggest issue was how to keep all the I-Pads charged and ready to go. Now thanks to your generosity the I-Pads are always ready to be put into action.
The students know when they are done with the I-Pad it must be put back in the docking station. This helps the students develop a sense of responsibility. If they don't complete this job when they want the I-Pad in the future it may not be available. The I-Pads provide students with a different way to learn and develop new skills.
All of my students are very excited about the docking station. It helps keep the classroom neat and organized. The I-Pads are ready to go whenever we decide it is time to use them. My students and I really appreciate your kind donation. It will help make this year more successful.”

I-Pads Inspire
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. My students have really started to enjoy using the I-Pads in math. I have been using the I-Pads as both an academic intervention and challenge to meet each students individual needs.
My students have been using the app Khan Academy which allows each student to create a personal account. The app changes questions based on students responses. I'm able to see students progress as they move along from topic to topic. The I-Pads have really helped to individualize each students needs. This allows me more time to sit down with students and work on specific skill sets based on their progress.
The most exciting thing is students are excited to come to class for this new hands on learning experience. They ask everyday if we are going to use the I-Pads and are thrilled when I say yes.
Thanks again for your generosity!”

Funded Dec 9, 2015My students and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation. We are so excited about using the I-Pads in our math class. Currently, I am setting up all the I-Pads on the school Wifi in order to access the Internet and many applications. The students are helping me think of applications that will be useful in this classroom. Once the I-Pads are ready to go and setup each group will have the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates on new applications. The students will build team work skills as they venture into this new technology.
Our students don't all have graphing calculators and the I-Pads have apps for this too! Some other uses for the I-Pads will be to show math videos, play math songs, regents prep questions, and math games. The technology will help the students that are struggling with specific topics by reviewing old concepts. It will also help advance the students that are moving at a quicker pace by reinforcing what we already learned and challenging the students with more difficult questions.
We really appreciate your generosity and can't wait to start using the technology! It is truly going to bring this math class to a new level!”

Funded May 15, 2013Thank you so much for our classroom I-PAD. The children and I are so excited with our new piece of technology. It has greatly enhanced the classroom in many ways. I'm now able to check student's daily progress into a computer program each period. This allows students immediate feedback each day. It has alleviated wasted classroom time by no longer needing to transfer written student progress into the computer. This allows much more learning and teaching time for the students.
The students have tried several math applications on the I-PAD and are enjoying each one as they discover new features. They have been able to challenge themselves to solve more complex problems through the use of this technology. It is also a great way to help struggling students work on previous concepts.
Another great feature they have enjoyed is that the I-PAD can be linked to our Smart Board. This allows the students to display their work in front of the whole class. They are able to write their math solutions to the problems directly on the I-PAD and then the image appears in front of the room. This is a great way to showcase students work and allow them to take a role in teaching each other.
Again, thank you so much for your generous donation.”

Jeopardy Fun
Funded Oct 19, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation of the Jeopardy buzzer system. The children could not contain their excitement when they walked in the room and saw the wireless system. We played a review game to get ready for the students next test and they couldn't wait to buzz in to say their answers.
On another note the new system allowed easy access around the room. The students and myself were able to move around to the different tables without the fear of tripping on wires. Normally when we play once everyone is seated their is no movement allowed for fear of knocking the game off or just a safety hazard.
We are all very excited about the new system and can't wait to use it again! Thank you again for your generous donation!!!”
