My classroom is full of 34 vibrate and energetic 2nd graders who are engaged in the learning process. I am trying to teach my students to have "GRIT"- Guts and courage to learn new things and be brave in participating in hard things. Resiliency to try again when you make a mistake. Integrity to develop into an honest, respectful and responsible person who contributes to our classroom. And tenacity to never give up. My students come with strengths and weakness just like all 2nd grade children. We have a variety of levels of incomes, but most of my students live in a low income neighborhood. Their are many different levels of anxiety and social issues that my students are faced with along with learning difficulties. My students are excited to learn and are willing to meet new challenges to help better their lives.
