"Imagination is Greater than Knowledge" per Einstein however our imaginations are limited by our supplies. My students are low income minorities whose supplies were depleted last year. I have just taken over and found that those supplies were not replaced.
My students love doing tactile lessons, but without these items our creativity is severely limited. They love to play and create things, but we have to share because we have so little. With what we have we can only create one picture each with watercolors until they are gone. The clay that was left to us is so sticky that you can't even pull it out of the container and our hands are an absolute mess. The kids don't even want to play with it because it is so sticky. I want to use the play dough to learn numbers, shapes, letters, names, words, and create new things.
