• Help Us Complete Our Set of Graphic Novels

  I cannot tell you how much more enjoyable and enlightening To Kill a Mockingbird was to my students this year. We read this together in class and discussed it after every few chapters. I loved how these books keep the main thing the main thing--love for one's neighbor, courage, and empathy--without bogging down in long descriptions that often lose readers. I did supplement the actual novel for it in some chapters just so they could get a feel for Harper Lee's style, but most of the story came to life through the graphic novel.

  This makes my classroom run more efficiently. These days, so much of what we do, from typing essays in MLA format to doing research to taking online book quizzes happens online. Without your donation, this would not be possible.

We are currently having school in-person, and I am trying as much as possible to train my students for online work so that they are ready for virtual learning if we transition to it. • We Need A Laptop For Essay Typing

  Thank you so much for your donation. This laptop has made a big difference in my classroom. My students love having this technology for their use.

  Specifically, lessons that include essay typing, research, and online book tests run so much more smoothly now. Students do not have to leave the classroom to use the library's computers. They don't have to waste time waiting for a classmate to finish using a computer. It is fabulous!

  In addition, the example you have set by giving back to the community is invaluable. Teenagers have a tendency to be a bit self-centered at times just as a natural part of growing up, but seeing someone perform a selfless deed such as this speaks volumes to them about character and the importance of philanthropy.
