The 8th grade science largest unit is based on understanding the properties of water and the chemistry behind it. I have studied 3 years worth of data over our students performance and this is the area that students struggle the most with. It is tough to make learning about water fun. So by bringing in more hands-on experiments and technology students will be able to dive further into the chemistry behind water quality. By engaging students with hands-on technology they will be able interact with water and the environment. This should allow students to be able to show growth and understanding.
