  • Social Emotional Learning Through Game Play

    Thank you for contributing to hours of fun and engaging game play during my advisory classes. The students have thoroughly enjoyed the new games we received. The Bingo game specifically has allowed a larger number of students to play together at the same time.

    When the new games arrived the students were excited about having the opportunity to play with games that allowed more players to play at the same time. This allowed the students to have more whole group game play over pair game play.

  • Amplifying Voice While Wearing a Mask

    As we continue to navigate through this pandemic we face new challenges that don't usually exist in a classroom. As a teacher, my voice is a tool I use daily to deliver instruction to my students. My lessons would lack meaning without the ability for students to hear my voice. Being amble to amplify my voice with this device has allowed me to continue delivering lessons without interruptions because my voice is amplified.

    I thank you for you generosity and wish to share that my students appreciate that my mask does not interfere with them being able to hear me. Additionally, students have benefited from having spare masks available to them on a daily

    basis.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by Emerson Collective and 4 other donors.
Having an iPad will give me an additional screen that will allow me to facilitate more engaging lessons, monitor student progress during synchronous class time, create and edit instructional videos and provide written feedback with an Apple Pencil. As we continue to be fully remote, having an iPad will optimize screen time for all my students in my Global History and Geography courses. Additionally, it will help me stream videos that cannot be heard properly when shared from the same device/screen used while on Zoom/Google Meet.

About my class
