  • Books for All!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generous donations to our project. Thanks to your generosity, many kids have great new books to read in our libraries. We have made a display of our new books and the kiddos are loving it! Their little eyes light up every time they come into the library and see we have new, never-before opened books just for them to try out. A lot of them come in and ask if we've gotten new books when they don't see any on our display.

Reading is important to all of us, and you providing these kids with books they can see themselves in and which make them feel safe and respected is a lovely gift every time they come into our library.

Thank you again for your generosity, on behalf of the many students who are benefiting from your kindness.”

  • After School Art in the Library

    Funded Jul 22, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our project. Thanks to you we will be able to provide many students with after-school activities in our library. Currently we are serving students from first through eighth grade. They are all very excited to be provided with hands-on art projects that tie to literacy.

Your generosity has made this possible, and they are beyond happy.

On their behalf and my own I would like to thank you for providing us with the supplies needed to expand students' creativity and tie it to literacy.

The library has become an even cooler place thanks to you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sanchez

  • Art in the Library

    Funded Mar 21, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding this project. My students have been enjoying the resources immensely. The Etch-a-Sketch has been tremendously popular, as many of our students had not ever used one and it was a novelty for them. At one school, students had competitions amongst themselves to see who could draw the most unique drawing during lunch in the library time. Students also loved being able to draw using the silly scents markers, and the Mr. Sketch scented markers. Of course, many of them would leave the library with colorful noses after sniffing the markers as they worked, lol.

The drawing paper and black markers were used for directed draws as well as other activities whic the students enjoyed immensely.

Thank you again for your generous contributions.”

  • Readers Become Leaders

    Funded Jan 25, 2024

Thank you very much for your generosity towards our libraries. Our students are loving their new books! The Percy Jackson books are flying off the shelves, as well as the other graphic novels your so generously funded. As for the little ones, they are enjoying the Lil Libros books immensely and learning about new places and new cultures.

Our students have also enjoyed having multiple copies of the Percy Jackson novel, as they get to compare notes with each other in an informal "book club" type of way. It's very fulfilling to see them enjoying reading so much!

Thank you for your generous donation.”

  • Readers Become Leaders

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. Because of your generosity, students at not one, but two school libraries have received resources which are helping them become more excited about literacy.

The bookmarks and stickers you financed are making their way into excited little hands who are eager to check out new books so they can use their bookmarks in them. The stickers are being given out during lessons where students are being taught how to increase their literacy, digital citizenship, or technology tips. They appreciate having them as a reminder of the visit to the library also!

The rolling book cart has been a lifesaver when it comes to re-shelving books, and making books more accessible to students in a more efficient way.

On behalf of all the students, I thank you again for your generosity.”

  • The Beauty of Diversity and Inclusion

    Funded Jan 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. These new books have helped my students learn about so many diverse experiences which they may not have had access to , but which will definitely help make them kinder, more compassionate people.

Many of my students have seen themselves represented in books now that they have access to a more diverse library, and there's nothing like seeing a child's eyes light up when they make this discovery.

Today, kids got to read in partners, but sometimes they get to read independently, or I'll turn the lights off and give them flashlights. With these new books, they seemed engaged and were sharing the books with friends enthusiastically.

I appreciate your help in bringing more diverse texts to my students and helping them discover new cultures and ideas.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sanchez

  • Fighting the Flu

    Funded Dec 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness towards our classroom. My students have really enjoyed the snacks your funds helped me get for them. They feel so much better when they are working knowing that there's snacks for them to grab if they should feel hungry.

Also, my students have told me that they feel so much better when they are able to clean their desks at the end of the day, because they know they'll come back to a clean desk the next morning. Those cleaning wipes are greatly appreciated by us all.

Thank you again on behalf of all of us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sanchez

I am the teacher librarian for two awesome schools, each of which is special in its own way. One of them has three programs on campus: conventional, bilingual, and gifted. The other has students from preschool to eighth grade. Both of them are full of curious, inquisitive students who arrive at school ready to learn and achieve academic greatness. I want to do anything I can to make literacy part of their lives and encourage a love of reading.
