  • Let's Get Loud at Love Elementary

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I want to thank all of the donor's for their part in making sure our Christmas program and future programs were a great success. The microphones and speakers made sure that our students voices and music got to the ears of their loved ones during the Christmas performance. The faces of the families was priceless and we can't wait to perform again for out community partners such as Tommie Vaughn Ford and families.

The students were elated to be able to play instruments that could be heard and the soloist singers were eager to hear their voices out loud for all to enjoy. We are currently making sure we continue to practice for upcoming events for Cinco de Mayo and the Houston heights Kids Music Day.

I look forward to your continued support in my future projects and thanks again for helping us build our music program at Love Elementary!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lozano

  • Music for the Mind!

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

Our students are being engaged in the music class with the technology that was provided by our school district, and as a musician my self I see that the students are getting to understand music in another level with the graphics and visuals provided by the different programs being used this school year.

Hands on the instrument is very important for the student in order to apply the theory learned, so having an instrument at home is having an impact for many of them.

Some of the students learned the technology better than the teachers...

Even with all the challenges we went this school year, seems that many of the students learned and developed skills that can be used once we go back to a "normal setting" in the classroom.

On behalf of my students and me, THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lozano

The instruments being requested (recorders) are a fundamental key in the process of learning music. Students can practice their sight reading during virtual instruction and the students will be able to use the recoders at home, now that we can not use them in a regular classroom setting. With the recorder the student will have an opportunity to continue with the learning experience, with lessons adapted for the virtual setting. Hands-on is a very important part of learning music and the developing of the different parts of the brain.
