    Funded Sep 3, 2021

I want to thank you for your donations to my classroom. The importance of healing during this time is important and has an impact on our students as we introduce, and practice social emotional learning. I have a Peace Corner surrounded by wonderful donated books and objects where my students reflect and learn to understand their emotions. Drawing and coloring also contribute to a healthy mindset. As my students face the coming years, I hope that with your wonderful contribution they would have learned how to apply SEL skills when faced in any situation. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Expressing My Thoughts Digitally as Simple as Pen to Paper.

    Funded May 28, 2021

I want to once again thank you for the wonderful and useful tablets that were donated to my class. My students quickly warmed up to the writing tablets. The use of them makes it so much easier to write using their chrome books, working on their assignments in class, or from home. The writing tablets have made it easy to maneuver on the page using the styles. It is as if they are using paper and pencil but so much more advanced. They are able to quickly edit and rewrite their writing.

The students were very excited to use a technological tool which they had seen on-line. When they used it to color their state bird, they were able to draw fine and thick lines. This learning tool allows for engagement as the students are able to project and present and interact with their presentation. This has allowed for collaboration on various content academic areas.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Estrada

    Funded Aug 18, 2012

My students and I would like to extend our gratitude for your donation of the wireless printer for our classroom. My students now have access to technology that will help them use 21 century technology.

Hands-on access to the printer enables my students to print wirelessly from any location in the classroom which has benefited them by providing instant access to their research when they are writing book reports, respond to literature, and expository essays.

We extend our gratitude to your generosity. Your generosity has allowed our students to equipment that is not readily accessible in our school. I teach a 4th and 5th grade class in a low socio-economic neighborhood where my students experience emotional and social difficulties. These issues affect my students learning abilities and they come into my classroom with leaning abilities that stem from special needs to above grade level. Aside from coping with their emotional and social difficulties they are in the process of learning English. The majority of my students are English language learners and rely on their visual skills to acquire understanding of the concepts and skills that are taught throughout the year.
