  • LEARNING OUR ABC's and 123's in Pre-K!

    Funded May 5, 2020

What a fantastic donation you made to our classroom project. Our students are back in school and now with COVID restrictions, these learning materials are even more important to their learning. By supporting and donating to my project, you helped build hands on activities that the students can be successful in using while learning.

The students were so excited to play with the new materials. These activities and games with help my students with their language and academic development. It will also allow them to practice their math and literacy skills in so many hands on ways. The students are having so much fun using the games and activities that are engaging and fun, they do not even realize they are learning.

We are extremely grateful for your donations. I love watching my students use the materials for its intended purposes as well as show flexibility and inventiveness as they explore other uses for the materials. Thank you from all of us!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Murphy

  • Building on Our Learning!

    Funded Dec 9, 2020

n this new way of teaching, it has been the little things that have made this transition so much easier. When I requested class sets of desk blocks, we were still fully learning virtually. I had thoughts of dropping a set of bocks off at each of my students houses, and being able to have the building materials in their homes to develop their fine and gross motor skills while building imaginative things. This vision changed when our schools opened back up, allowing the choice for children to come back to the classroom full time or remain home full time, but I would be teaching to both group at the same time.

I was so lucky to have this donation because it gave us the ability to have all my kiddos, at home or in school working with blocks at the same time and sharing their creations with each other! How amazing and how wonderful it is to watch the children's ability to use their imaginations to make some pretty amazing creations. I have also listened to their oral language skills grow, from explaining their building vision to their friend that is learning at home, or talking about the color and shapes of the blocks has been music to my ears.

Blocks are an essential part of our Pre-K learning and this donation has allowed our students to continue to learn and grow.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Murphy

Many students come to our Pre K classroom without a strong foundation of letter or number knowledge, but these students are ready to soak up learning like a sponge! The materials that I have requested will engage each child and get them excited to learn with their peers as well as independently. I plan to use all of the materials in different center areas, from number and letter bubbles in the water table, to using alphabet robots to spell their first names. By supporting my project, you will help build hands on activities that the students can be successful while learning.
