Itchy and Scratchy! Go Away!
Funded Dec 29, 2014Thank you so much for your very generous donation. I really appreciate the tremendous impact you will have on the students. It is very welcoming that people care so much to help kids who are having issues that are so sensitive. You will never know how much this means to the kids who suffer from this chronic issue. You have truly helped in ways you cannot imagine. These kids can come to school with more confidence and be able to pay attention instead of worrying about their hair. Thank you again.”

Can't Get Enough Wimpy
Funded Aug 5, 2012Thank you so very much for the generous donation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. The kids were so happy to see them in the classroom library. I actually had to have a raffle to see who would get to read them first. Since then, the books have circulated throughout the classroom. Each student wants a chance to read all of them. I cannot tell you how much your generosity means to the children and me. You have brought the gift of reading into the lives of kids who haven't experienced such thoughtfulness. Words cannot express how you have touched our lives.”

Playworks Works 2!
Funded Apr 27, 2012Thank you so much for your very generous donation. The Playworks program is such a terrific asset to our school. With your gift, the students are able to exercise more as well as become better at sharing and cooperating. Before your generosity, the kids would have to wait in line to use the few hula hoops that we had. They would also waste almost half of their recess time waiting in line to play four square because there weren't enough balls to go around.
Your kindness is so appreciated and the kids have thoroughly used the equipment. Each time they are going to Playworks, they are excited because they know there will be enough equipment to go around. You have made over 500 kids very happy.
Thank you so, so much.”

Playworks Works!!
Funded Mar 22, 2012Thank you so very much for your generous donation. The jump ropes and ball pump were badly needed. The entire school uses this equipment and when there are over one hundred-fifty children in the gym at once trying to use the jump ropes, it becomes a waiting game. Now the children will be able to get the exercise they desperately need because of you. It also wasn't much fun for them to try to play wall ball or four square without an inflated ball. They were so excited to see that they were actually going to be able to play at recess. Thank you again.”

Funded Feb 21, 2012Thank you so much for donating to our project. It means so much to us that you care. The use of the number die-cuts is so important to so many different grades within our school. My kids thought it was great to use for book marks and even for them to make our room number to keep. It is especially useful for the lower grades. They can use the numbers to show the students who are just learning them. It is shown that if a student can touch it, they will learn it faster. Your generosity is so appreciated. Thank you again.”

Die Cut Dilemma
Funded Dec 16, 2011Thank you so much for your very generous donation. Teachers will now be able to cut out shapes so students can sort them. With spring coming soon, it will be great to cut out shapes for name tags for field trips. The kindergarten and first grade teachers are very excited to have something to use to cut out shapes. They were doing it by hand and it was very time consuming.
My students were able to use the machine to cut out any shape they wanted and then they were able to use it as a bookmark. This is great for them to be excited about reading. Again thank you so much for your donation. You have made a difference in our school.”

Reading is FUNdamental!
Funded Dec 10, 2010Thank you so much for the books. The kids were so excited when the project was funded. I read a Judy Moody book to the class. When I was done, they wanted to read one, too. However, I didn't have any more. The same is true for Clementine and other books by Kate DiCamillo. I had no other books by these authors and I felt terrible. I had introduced the kids to these wonderful authors and then there weren't any books for them to read on their own. Thanks to you, they can now read books by their new favorite authors.
Your kindness is immeasurable. These kids are excited about reading and since these authors are very diverse, the possibilities are endless. You are a very generous person who will be in our hearts forever. You have made a group of third graders very happy as well as interested readers.
Thanks again.”

Listen and Learn
Funded Dec 27, 2010Thank you so much for the headphones. You have no idea how much it means to the class to be able to go on the computer and learn. They are able to hear what's being asked of them which allows them to better grasp the content. The kids were so excited when the headphones came. I have already seen an improvement in their reading and math. The programs allow the students to work at their own pace. This allows them to gain the knowledge they may have missed. The program also focuses on the students' strengths so they can feel successful.
Your kindness is immeasurable. The kids have learned a valuable lesson through your generosity. They have learned the important math and reading concepts, but more importantly, they learned that there are compassionate people in this world that help others. They now want to be able to help others as well.
Thank you again”

Button, Button, Who Has the Button!!!
Funded Nov 15, 2010Thank you again for your generosity. The kids were so excited to get the button maker. It came just in time for their Accelerated Reader goals. The students who met their goals (98%) received a button. The machine is so easy to use, the kids can actually make their own. They cannot wait for Mother's Day when they will be making a button for their moms.
You are so terrific to donate twice to our classroom. You are such a giving person. I read your letter and hope your travels are going well. The kids enjoy learning and experiencing things so much and your help is very much appreciated. It's people like you that help teach the kids of the world about kindness and appreciation. I wish you the best life has to offer.”

Wimpy, Wimpy, Wimpy!
Funded Oct 5, 2010Thank you so much for your wonderful donation. The kids were so excited to be able to get their favorite books. They sure are getting a lot of use. The hardcovers are so much more durable than the paperbacks. I have room on my shelves because the kids always have them. Most of the kids have already read them all. They cannot wait for the next book to be written.
You were so generous to donate and make reading more fun for the students. Your generosity has given them the opportunity to enjoy reading and to experience the wonder of it. I cannot thank you enough for giving them the chance to see how terrific people can be.”

Mrs. Hesse
