  • Putting Talents on Display

    Funded Apr 17, 2025

Research shows that colored copies in the classroom can significantly enhance student learning and engagement. Thanks to your generous giving, our project “Putting Talents on Display” was funded! We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and willingness to support our educational efforts. We are so excited! We can’t wait to receive our items and continue our journey of success.”

  • Sanitized Small Group Space

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you so much for the generosity you have shown. The white board and Clorox wipes are a "hit" in our class! When it was delivered to our class, students were excited that we had received such wonderful gifts. When they saw the white board displayed in our small group area, they were excited to know that it was something they would get to use on a daily basis.

Each day during reading and math, my students are excited to come to the round table for instruction. Having the white board at my fingertips for small group instruction has made instructional delivery so much easier. In addition, being able to write information, underline details, and solve problems on the board has given my students a level of excitement that is moving them to the next level.

The added blessing of the Clorox wipes ensures that each student leaves their area clean and germ free for the next group of students who enter the space they have left. Thanks to your acts of kindness, our "sanitized small group space" is a place of remarkable student participation and learning gains.”

    Mrs. Singleton

  • Let's Get Started!

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Thank you so much for the kindness and consideration you have shown to our class. Through your donations, we received several resources that are making a difference in our classroom and in the lives of my students.

The TPT gift cards allow me to purchase hands-on educational resources to supplement my students' learning experience. Being able to purchase these resources has made teaching and learning more rewarding.

The art carts have done an excellent job of keeping our supplies organized. Three of the carts are being used to house students' supplies. However, one cart is being used as a snack bin. It holds the healthful snacks you so gracefully donated to our classrom. My students are so grateful that they are able to have a snack on those days they are running late and unable to get breakfast or need some nourishment before their next meal. This is all possible because of your generosity, and we are so grateful.”

  • Color Creates Interest

    Funded Apr 15, 2023

Thank you so much for the contributions you made to our class project. The highlightlers and markers are just what we needed to finish the school year with a blast! When my students saw the highlighters, chart markers and white board markers, they were thrilled!! They were so helpful in creating the colorful visuals my students needed to keep thier interest piqued. I was able to create colorful posters and anchor charts for students to use as visuals. In addition, the students were able to use highlighters and white board markers to show their work during active engagement activities. Again, thanks for supplying us with needed material when they were need the most.”

  • Back to the Basics

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Your donations to our project has made a major difference! Our classroom is a welcoming place for students and teachers alike! Because of the bulletin board paper and borders, the perfect atmosphere for a productive classroom had been set. In addition, the individual white boards and markers have encouraged my students to be actively engaged in our lessons. When I thought I couldn't ask for anything better, I took out the jump ropes for recess and the students exploded with excitement! Being able to balance hard work and fun play is really making a difference!

The supply of Kleenex and hand sanitizer came in time for the runny noses and coughs. Because of you, my students have the supplies they need to keep themselves clean and sanitized---lessening the chances of passing on their germs to their classmates.

Donors, thank you so much for your generous giving. You thoughtfullness and kindness have really made a difference in my ability to reach my students. They too are grateful for what you have done for us!!!”

  • Improving Reading With Graphic Novels

    Funded May 16, 2022

I have always believed that whatever students read (rather it be picture books, chapter books, signs on the road, or posters on the wall) will help to improve their reading. Thanks to the generous dotoations of our sponsors, my students are able to choose books they are interested in for their independent reading.

When my students saw these graphic novels they were so excited! They couldn't wait to begin reading. Every student chose a book from that box for their independent reading that night.

My students are still reading the graphic novels we recieved. But the greatest part is, these graphic novels are fostering the love for reading. For that, I would like to thank our donors again for donating to this project. You are a lifesaver!!”

  • Let's Make It Hands-On

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

My students were filled with "oohs" and "aahs" when we opened the boxes and they say the varitey of manipulatives and other resources donated to our class. They could not wait to begin using the resources that ranged from clocks, multiplication dominoes, and dice to Post-it poster paper, magnets, an much more.

Thank you so much for your donations that allowed many of our lessons to become hands-on and interactive. My students have used the resurces you provided to assist in solving problems during whole group instruction, small group instruction and collaborative group work. My students expressed how using the manipulatives helped to simplify problem solving and enabled them to grasp concepts so much easier.

They loved these manipulatives so much, they run to open centers every afternoon as they wait for dismissal. However, the most exciting classroom project my students experienced was working in groups to create posters that depicted their comprehension of a reading selection. They were all amazing!

Thanks to your generosity, the fun and excitement of learning in our classroom were maximized. Again, THANK YOU!”

  • Active Engagement at Its Best!

    Funded Feb 6, 2022

Thank you again for supporting my effort to have my students improve their learning through active engagement. When they saw the boxes coming in they were excited. They had a lot of questions. However, the greatest part of the excitement was the "WOW!" they expressed when they learned that the supplies were donated.

We have held many learning sessions since our supplies started coming in. The students love the idea of having their personal white board with a suppply of replacement dry erase markers. During Math, they are using their boards to solve problems and play acitive engagement games. My heart jumps with joy when I announce the beginning of Math and I hear students say "YES!". They are truly excited about being able to put the pencil and paper aside for assignments.

Currently, I use the easel stand and paper to create anchor charts and visual displays for my students. However, I have planned lessons where students will get into cooperative groups to do research and presentations to show what they learned. They would share using notebook paper or drawing paper. With the chart paper, they will be able to create larger, more meaningful presentations. Thank you so much for the experiences you have afforded my students!”

  • Reading: "Oh the Places You'll Go"

    Funded Nov 13, 2020

Books are great! They can be used to teach skills and are great for experiencing the joys of reading. Because of the pandemic my students have been receiving remote/online learning at home. With libraries closed and students having a limited supply of books at home, I was concerned with their leisure reading. Thanks to the generous donations we received, my students were able to receive books to read at home. The books focused on kindness, social emotional development and cultural differences, to name a few.

Reading varies in my classroom, but one constant is that students are always reading. Therefore, books are important to our reading program.

We are so thankful for the books. The students are truly enjoying them!”

Today's children spend a lot of their free time inside on computers and other electronics. With childhood obesity on the rise, schools play a vital role in teaching students about practices that support healthy behaviors. We provide opportunities for students to learn about healthy eating, but physical activity is a behavior that our children need to learn about as well. However, it is difficult to have an effective follow through when we do not have adequate playground equipment for active engagement on the playground. Having equipment like jump ropes, hoola hoops, frisbees and balls, would provide tangible resources for outside enjoyment. Right now I can only imagine seeing my students participate in organized outside activities. However, that vision could become a reality if our project is funded. My students would have the outdoor equipment they need to be encouraged to participate in physical activities.
