Our Old Printer Is Hungry For Ink

Funding this project makes it easier for the children to learn write, read and create fun projects. They are so excited to come into OT to see what projects I have for them to work on . This also means I can make new paper for my student with visual issues so that they wont be left behind in terms of work. The children were very driven to complete their work so that they could play The stick mosaics went fast. They really enjoyed having that has an incentive after the completed there work. This gift has made coming to occupational therapy very enjoyable they are. meeting their goals in a fun way. Me Want to Move It, Move It
Funded Apr 20, 2017Thank you for the videos. I have loaned them out to the teachers at my school. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback for the videos. It has helped with transitioning after lunch, and gym. The special education teachers have stated that the children are calmer and they are able to get through lessons more efficiently in afternoon. When in therapy the children who have autism seemed more tuned in and their ability follow directions improved. You have made a great difference in the lives of the children at my school.”

Help Us Learn To Write and Create

I have not had to interrupt a session to go find the paper. I have also been able to print and create special paper. This has decreased prep time it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for our sensory materials the children are really enjoying them. The children uses the pop tube to help us warm up our hands and get ready for writing. The fidget toys have been a god send to the children who receive and don't receive therapy . I am now implementing sensory boxes in every class room .
The child are really benefiting from the discovery putty they really enjoy pulling the toys out the putty. Your contribution has made a difference in the lives of many children in our school community not just children who receive therapy.”

Since receiving this gift of notebooks my children's' hand writing has improved. They are interested in cursive handwriting and publishing their work. Their teachers are also displaying the work they do with the paper on the bulletin board outside the classrooms.

Writing For Our Dreams
Funded Dec 21, 2014My students and I would like to thank you for this gift . My students thought is was pretty cool that we got a new printer. One of the fifth grader's said "Wow Ms.C welcome to the 21st Century". They were really excited to help me unpack it.
Now that I have this printer I am able to and create adaptive paper for the children who have problems writing on the line. They are real excited to pick the different colors of paper we will be using. I have also been able to print on card stock to create different craft projects
Since receiving this printer I have created an "I did it", bulletin board. When the child succeeds in achieving an occupational therapy goal . I take a picture of that the child and place it on the bulletin board right then and there. This has helped increased the children's motivation and cooperation to participate in occupational therapy.”

Help Us Celebrate the Season
Funded Dec 29, 2014Thank you for the art supplies. The students are making good use of them. One of them expressed to me that she love the fact that we got new scissors, because she did not like cutting with the old scissors.
The students were able to create different valentine crafts using the paper the construction. The have created different snow flakes to hang around the room with glitter glue and stencils. Right now we are currently working on St Patrick's day crafts.
This gift has opened the door to the kids asking questions about different cultures and about history .”
