STEM Discovery for All Students!
Funded Oct 26, 2017Your generosity gave my students challenging and meaningful learning experiences. I am extremely grateful for what this has meant for my students's growth and how it has enhanced my teaching. Students used the items to carried out lab investigations. Students were excited and eager to work when they first saw the materials.
The next steps will require students to define a problem, conduct research, and design an investigation or model to represent their research problem. Students will communicate each step of their research in a notebook as they carry out their investigations. Students will present their projects to the school.

STEM Problem Based Learning Sparks Student Learning
Funded Oct 6, 2015I am truly grateful for your generosity in fully funding my project! I am particularly grateful for your genuine concern for my students. Thank you for the density set, constant speed vehicles, friction cubes and other supplies. My students are also very thankful for all the lab supplies. As students used the supplies throughout the school year, they developed critical thinking skills, participated in inquiry labs and discussion groups.
The excitement and eagerness on the faces of my student could be seen in each lesson. Because of your generosity, my students learned about chemistry, physics and geology in very engaging ways. With these supplies, my students were able to experience real world science. I saw my students' motivation for learning increase as they worked during the school year.
In science, authentic discovery only takes place as students participate in hands-on activities and inquiry-based labs. The supplies gained through this project STEM Problem Based Learning Sparks Students Learning allowed my students to fully engage in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) labs. In addition, your generosity also allowed me to give my students a challenging and meaningful learning experience. It was very rewarding to see the excitement and interest in science on the faces of my students. I am extremely grateful for what this have meant for my students and how it have enhanced my teaching.
The STEM inquiry dissection lab supplies allowed me to plan lessons more effectively. I was able to incorporate a real world component into the lesson. After investigations, students began asking higher level questions. I was able to guide and help students develop dissection skills.

The JASON Project Connects Students To Real World Science!
Funded Oct 10, 2012Your generosity allowed me to give my students challenging and meaningful learning experiences. It was very rewarding to see the excitement and interest in science on the faces of my students. I am extremely grateful for what this have meant for my students and how it have enhanced my teaching. Some of the items that your generosity provided were lens demonstration kits, pulley models, inclined plane models, spectral analysis kits and organic chemistry model sets.
The JASON Project curriculum and lab supplies allowed me to plan my lessons more effectively. I was able to incorporate a real world component into each unit. After investigations, students began asking higher level questions. I was also able to introduce scientists and their careers into my lessons. This gave students ideas about future science careers.
