I teach kindergarten in an inclusive classroom in the city. Our school has an 80% poverty rate. This is such a wonderful age, because they are so full of excitement and enthusiasm for learning. The difficult part is not being able to find funding for technology to keep up with their peers in innovative and better funded schools. They are so full of wonder and questions. They have a genuine draw to anything technological. They always want to be on the computers! It is hard because our technology is very limited, so they do not get a lot of hands-on time. My hope is for my students to acquire tablets, so they can use them independently during small group time.
