  • Printmaking Materials Needed for Masterpieces!

    Funded Nov 17, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to our art classroom. My students love to learn and are excited when new materials and media are introduced into the classroom. Your generous donation allowed us to explore the medium of printmaking, which my students had never experienced before.

Due to your donation, my students were able to experiment with different printmaking inks and creating art with the use of a brayer (rather than a pencil or paintbrush). Students were so excited by these new materials and really enjoyed creating this type of artwork.

Thank you again for your donation. You have added to our art classroom and given my students a way to creatively express themselves.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schnepf

  • Sketchbooks for Students!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to our art classroom. My students love to learn and are excited when new materials and media are introduced into the classroom. Your generous donation allowed us to provide sketchbooks to many of our students.

They were each so excited to receive these.

The sketchbooks are used daily, in our classroom, and provide students with a creative outlet. Students have used the sketchbooks to create visual journals, draw various sketches, practice with different materials, and create new artworks. These sketchbooks will continue to be used throughout the year.

Thank you again for your donation. You have added to our art classroom and given my students a way to creatively express themselves.”

  • Creating Masterpieces

    Funded Oct 9, 2020

Thank you for the generous donations in which you provided. These donations allowed my students to each have a mixed media sketchbook. Throughout this year, these sketchbooks provided students with a space to explore various materials, stay organized, and keep their artwork in a space of their own.

With the assistance of these sketchbooks, students were able to create their own interpretation of artworks inspired by famous artists, artworks, and styles. For example, students created landscape artworks inspired by various landscape artists throughout the years.

Overall, these sketchbooks allowed my students to continue having new and exciting art experiences. We will continue to explore and create projects that foster skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. Thank you again for your donation.”

  • Art Supplies Needed!

    Funded Jan 20, 2014

I would like to take this time to express my gratitude for your generous donations. These materials have enabled my students to take part in projects that use a variety of media and materials.

My sixth graders are currently using the Scratch Art Paper to make their Ancient Egypt Landscapes. With the help of the scratch paper, my students were able to understand what it was like when Ancient Egyptians would communicate messages through the carving and indenting of hieroglyphics. My 7th graders used the watercolor pencils to complete their cartooning unit. It allowed them to further understand the animation process and how cartoonists apply color to their work.

Through these materials, my students were able to gain a better understanding of how art is created. They were ecstatic to be using materials that were different and new to them. Without your generous donations this would not have been possible. My students and I are very grateful for your generosity.

Thank you for supporting our art program and enabling my students to take part in a strong and purposeful art education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schnepf

My students are eager and enthusiastic to finally be given a classroom environment that will allow them to have a creative outlet. This art program is a chance for my students to find their own solutions and their individual artistic voices. My goal is to create an atmosphere within which students are challenged and inspired by creativity. Through art students have the ability to enjoy freedom of expression and to demonstrate their capability, vision, and intelligence. Art provides the opportunity for children to explore their imagination, granted they are given the right setting to do so.
