I teach second grade at a wonderful public school in Florida. The majority of the parents are college educated and have a firm belief in the public education system. They can be seen around campus on a regular basis and they graciously volunteer in the classroom. They're all about the kids. Having a solid foundation like that promotes success in the classroom. The students are thrilled to come to school each day. They regularly attend school and are excited about learning. They genuinely love their teacher at this point in their lives. They embrace change and would welcome more technology in our classroom. Although I feel that I do a superb job in educating and instilling manners in the children, I have always desired to incorporate more technology into the classroom. We have to be lively to ensure subject mastery and concept retention. There's a lot of competition out there.
