  • Get Ready For Math Success!!

    When I learned that my very first project was funded I was truly excited. I could not wait to share the news with my students. I told my students about the project, what I asked for, why I ask for the materials, and the process I needed to go through to reach this point. My students showed excitement and could not wait to get the materials. They asked me each day if the boxes arrived. Finally, when the boxes arrived my students were overjoyed. One student said, "It's like Christmas!". I could not believe their reactions when they were given the supplies. I wrote each child's name on the bags provided. Each child came up and was able to grab one of everything. It was great to watch and listen to them.

    Daily instruction is now taking place without interruptions of,"I don't have a pencil." or "I lost my highlighter." Students come into class and take out their supplies and new notebooks and begin immediately. Students do not have to worry about being unprepared for class.
