If I don't provide my students with the resources they need to get ahead, nobody else will. They look to me for access to books, technology, and knowledge. They are eager 5th graders who are from Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Ghana, Mali, Mexico, Jamaica, Bangladesh, and many other countries, who want to be like every other 5th grader in America even though they sometimes feel like they live a world apart. They and their parents believe that Public School is their way out, or IN, and I want to help.
