  • Electrify Us

    Funded Oct 9, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! We now have a way to charge our chrome books without having to constantly swap out a group of 7 and rotate them using the wall plug. Those were challenging days...students had to constantly wait for their turn to charge their chrome books. This was very inefficient. During centers, some students had to share computers because theirs were still charging. This process didn't allow them to get the individualized practice they needed on our district mandated program. You have helped to solve this problem by allowing all the chrome books to be charged overnight and ready for the next school day. Thank you!!!”

  • Christmas Cheer

    Funded Dec 27, 2023

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm so excited to have my students take notes with their new colored pens. I know they will be excited to have their own set and not have to constantly share with their classmates. Note taking is now going to be a fun experience!”

    With gratitude,

  • Print It!

    Funded Aug 21, 2023

Your generous donation has allowed my students to see their writing go through the complete writing cycle. They enjoy typing and seeing their work printed. They want to type and print everything they write. It is pretty exciting to see them so excited about writing.

It is thanks to your donation, and support of our classroom, that this excitement is a reality. I look forward to having them print their writing more often. Learning how to write multiple paragraphs will be a lot more exciting knowing that they'll be able to type and print. Thank you so much!”

  • Calming Area

    Funded Jan 3, 2023

Thank you so very much for your generosity and support. The introduction of the calming area was well received by my students. They enjoyed sitting on the bean bag and reading to calm themselves down as well as to feel relaxed and a sense of belonging.

The students not only loved the bean bags but they enjoyed the tactile resources that came with the calming corner kit. They would gravitate over to that area often and ask if they could sit and do their work comfortably. They also loved the pillows and would hug them to feel a sense of comfort. This comfort was made possible by your generosity. Thank you!”

  • Let's Write!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so very much for your contribution to my classroom. My students have been busy writing on a daily basis.

They have enjoyed using the markers and giant post it paper to write paragraphs and stories. Group work has been a lot easier with these extra materials.

Your generosity has helped me provide my students with different writing activities and opportunities. I look forward to having my students take advantage of more writing opportunities in these final days of the school year.”

  • Let's Take Care

    Funded Dec 26, 2022

My students couldn't believe someone had been so kind to them. They felt very lucky and grateful. They felt seen and loved. The fact that they could grab a snack when they were hungry really gave them a sense of well-being and independence.

They really enjoyed the fact that they had snacks that were easily accessible to them. Knowing that they could get a snack to take to recess or to eat after a long day made them very happy.

Thank you so very much for helping me care for the 25 students in my class. We are all extremely grateful for your generosity.”

  • Ready to Learn

    Funded Oct 11, 2022

When my students saw the myriad of supplies they received from generous donors they cheered with joy. They were eager to begin using their highlighters, composition books, dry erase markers and erasers. They couldn't believe that someone had been so generous and gifted them supplies.

While working on comprehension skills they used their highlighters to identify the main idea and text evidence. They also enjoy using the dry erase markers and erasers while working on Math activities. Every time I say, "take out your dry erase board and markers" they get really excited.

Thank you for helping me make their daily work exciting and fun!”

  • Show Off Your Brain!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

thank you so very much for donating towards the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card I requested. It has allowed me to purchase materials that are geared towards the SBAC

One of the activities they were able to work on were Halloween related stories with questions regarding the main idea and key details. It was a fun and exciting activity to work on during one of their favorite holidays. Thank you for allowing me to make learning a little more fun while teaching key grade level standards. Thank you again!”

My students live in what many deem " a concrete jungle." They have very few opportunities to play. Our school doesn't have grassy areas nor does it have enough supplies for them to play with. My student's live in neighborhoods where gangs run rampant and safety lies in the comfort of their homes. It is in that same comfort zone that they sit on the couch and play video games. The concept of being outside is foreign to many of them. The only outside time they get is either at the park or at school. At school however, it is 20 minutes a day aside from the daily recess and lunch play. That is not enough time for children to be children. They should have more time and physical education toys to make their play meaningful and interactive--nothing a little comet ball, parachute or ring toss won't fix.
