  • Create With Legos

    My students love the legos that you helped us purchase. They build with the blocks everyday.

    They have stretched their imaginations with their creations. Everything from castles to houses have been built.

    The kids began with simple projects and grew to create much more complex ones. One of my students decided he wants to be an engineer and part of that is because of him having the exposure to the building of legos.

  • Light Table for STEM Center

    My students have loved exploring with our light table/panel. They especially like the "insects" that came with our kit. I like the numbers and letters best because it's fun to teach concepts from a different point of view.

    Seeing these objects they have known in different forms really make learning exciting. Both the boys and girls like the light panel but the boys spend the most time with it.

    Our light table/panel is something the kids will use each day and one that I will use to teach from each day. We appreciate the items so much! I know my classes will be using the light panel for many years to come!”

A child who feels comfortable and at home in their classroom is a child who will thrive. Our environment can be a big factor in our success or failure. A child should not feel overwhelmed by bright colors but should feel safe with softer, more natural colors. These items will help the students feel safe in our classroom. The baskets simply help bring the feeling of home to our classroom. The option of having a pretty couch and chair to sit on while reading is much more motivating than the floor! I will buy some pretty pillows to go with the couch and chair.

About my class
