Reading Motivation: Flashlight Fridays!

What a joy it has been receiving this gift from you. My students were so excited to hear about their new flashlights. Today is our first official "new" Flashlight Friday, and to celebrate, we had a special cozy, comfy pajama day!
As you can see from the uploaded images, the students are loving Flashlight Friday!! My students are so engaged in reading. Their eyes are on print and they are so engrossed in their books. This experience has brought a whole new level of fun to my 5th graders. Once again, I thank you whole heartedly for your generosity and kindness!!”

Every Friday, I love to do something called "Flashlight Fridays", where my students get cozy with a book, we turn off the lights, and we read! My students LOVE this activity! It motivates them and inspires them to learn. However, the flashlights I purchased are of poor quality, they do not work well and unfortunately, we have not been able to do this activity. They miss it! I would truly LOVE to be able to give this back to my students to further instill a love of reading within them.
