My students are 4th graders ranging between ages 9-10 years old. They come from diverse backgrounds and have many different learning styles. They attend a school, which has 60% or more of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Unfortunately , this means that many of our parents do not have finances to provide the resources that the students need. With high-stake testing my students are continuously "put to the test" to perform well. They are hard workers, who are in need of resources to help them reach their goal of being promoted to the next grade. They love to learn when they are actively involved in the learning process.
