"I Don't Want Baby Books!"
Funded Jan 21, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity. Each day I work with students who struggle to read at grade level and often times the books at their instructional level hold no interest for them. Before your donation, my classroom library l consisted of books I purchased myself, books left behind by previous teachers, those that were being thrown out by the school, and some that were stamped obsolete by the school library. Most of them were written and published well before my students were born. Now that we have added the books from your donation to the shelves of our classroom library, my students are showing and eagerness to read that they haven't shown before. Thanks again.”

Printer Please!
Funded Jan 9, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity. Getting technology in my classroom has been a struggle and this printer is replacing one that I brought from home that was about 20 years old.
As a reading intervention teacher, I regularly have to analyze data and share data with stakeholders. Having this printer in my class will ensure that I am able to do so, even when the school printers are not working. This will help to ensure that instruction is data driven.
I will also be able to use the printer to provide the students with printable reading passages.”

My Kingdom For A Copier!
Funded Aug 27, 2012Dear Donors,
I can not say thank you enough. The printer that your donations purchased arrived in my classroom within five days of me posting the project, and it was put to use immediately. It has been used so much that I've already had to change the ink cartridge! The kids love it and I can not tell you how many times it has come to the rescue when students misplace a worksheet, loose a piece of homework, or leave a workbook at home. Every student has been able to participate in every activity thanks to you and your generosity.
Not only has the printer helped with our academic lesson, it has also taught the kids about kindness and selfless acts.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Teachers Rock and 5 other donors. The Games We Play (2)
Funded Oct 14, 2008Thank you so much for your generous donation. The kids in my class this year (and for years to come) are going to get so much pleasure out of these Math, Science, and Social Studies games and activities. What's even better is that they'll be learning as they have fun!
It's so nice to know that people like you care and are willing to step up and make a difference. The word donation is one of the vocabulary words we have been studying and I can't wait to get to work and tell the kids that you have made a donation to our class.
Thank you again for your generosity.
You are truly appreciated.

Show Me! Don't Tell Me! (Part 1)
Funded Apr 10, 2008Thank you so much for your generous donation. I was recently teaching a lesson on persuasive writing and being a recipient of such a wonderful donation will go a long way towards giving my students credible and tangible proof of "the power of the written word". I can't wait to share the good news of your donation with them! I'm sure that they'll be ecstatic. In addition to a lesson on the power of writing, these videos will really make a difference for so many students who need visuals to truly understand and retain the lessons that they learn. Thank you again for caring”

Show Me! Don't Tell Me! (Part 2)
Funded Apr 1, 2008I am so excited that you have decided to donate these videos to my students! Just yesterday I looked for videos in our school library to supplement my lesson on Cesar Chavez, and I came up empty handed. Thanks to television and video games so many students are visual learners and I know that these videos will be just what they need to help them visualize and retain the information in their lessons. These videos will also make it easier for them to comprehend the social climate of historic eras that they have only been able to read about in books.
You can rest assured that your generosity will make a difference in the education of my students and many more to come.
Thank you again.
