Growing Together-Our School Garden
Funded Jan 30, 2025Thank you for your generosity. I am so excited to carry out this project. The students are eager to get out in the soil and touch the dirt with their hands. They are pumped to see what they can grow on their own. The best part is not only will we be growing plants and vegetables but we will also be growing as people learning to eat healthy and making connections with our environment. You have made this possible for us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Feb 22, 2024We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In first grade we try to push reading as much as possible. If students do not develop a love of reading at an early age it is very unlikely that they will enjoy reading as they get older. So, as teachers we do our best to provide students with a variety of relevant and exciting reading material that will engage students all year long.
Because of donors like you many of our first graders achieved their year long reading goal. Students worked hard all year reading books, testing their books and making points for their reading goal. Students who reached their goals were invited on a field trip to reward them for all their hard work.
So, we thank you for the beautiful story books that made it possible. Students really enjoyed reading them so much so that sometime students chose to read them two and three times. We had the more advanced readers read with our struggling readers so everyone got to enjoy them. Because of donors like you our first grade class had a very successful year.”

We Love Reading!
Funded Feb 1, 2023From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your most generous donations. These fun new books will take us through wonderful adventures and help us to experience things we have never seen before.
These great new story titles will also help us to reach our reading goals. Our elementary school participates in a motivational reading program that awards points for books students have read. So, we go through a lot of books. It is fun and easy to motivate students to read with colorful engaging story books.
All while helping our students to grow as readers. We are so thankful for generous hearts like yours. You are have really made a difference in this first grade classroom.”

Love Grows Here!
Funded Apr 28, 2023My student absolutely loved the aquarium for our goldfish. When I open the package they could not believe that we were going to keep goldfish in our class.
They just could not get enough. There was not a day that they forgot to ask for permission to go stand in front of the fish tank and watch their friends swim back and forth.
The students also really enjoyed learning about the gold fish and their life cycles. They loved drawing and writing about them in their science journals. They really make a connection with class pets. We appreciate you so much for making this opportunity possible.”

Funded Jan 14, 2023We are so grateful for your generosity, because of you we had twice as many students reach their Accelerated Reading goal as we did last year. Students have to read 100 books and maintain an 85 average to meet their reading goal. So, as you can imagen we go through books like crazy. Students are always looking for new engaging material to read.
Even those students who were not able read 100 books, still made a vast improvement in their reading skills and learned to enjoy the task of reading.
In first grade students are still learning how to read not to mention they are also learning to build stamina. It is very difficult for students to stay focused long enough to complete a book. This why it is so important that they would have reading material that is on their level and interesting to them. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.”

First Grade has the Best Penmanship Ever!
Funded Dec 2, 2022Thank you so much for these fine tip markers and lined tracing paper. My students have been having so much fun using their markers on all their assignments not just for penmanship. They are constantly showing off to each other, their beautiful rainbow colored school work.
They were so excited that we received these fabulous materials. They could not believe their eyes.
They will continue to practice their penmanship and eventually use their beautiful handwriting skills to write up some cute thank you notes. We are so grateful.”

Funded Aug 9, 2022Students have really enjoyed working with their new markers. We have done some really cool art work with those new markers. Students have also really enjoyed practicing spelling words and doing rainbow writes with their colorful new markers. They have so much fun that they don't even realize they are doing work.
Their zipper pouches have really kept them organized and responsible. The zipper bag are on the large side and it holds all their supplies with room to spare.
Students often comment about how happy they are to be in school and how much they enjoy the ambiance of our class. They like the decorations we received through your donation and they feel very proud to their work displayed with the glue dots you sent us. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for giving us a”

Funded May 5, 2022Our students are loving these new story books. The repetitive patters and simple text makes reading a positive experience. Children learn new vocabulary and high frequency words through repetition. They will then internalize these new words and recognize them in other story books they read, making reading a breeze.
I love to watch them relax on a mat with their favorite books. They change their voices and crack up and the silly story lines. They don't even realize they're practicing their reading skills.
Our English Language Learners are especially enjoying these simple text story books. They are easy to follow and fun to read and listen to. They don't mind listening to them over and over. Thank you for making reading so fun.”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Students have genuinely enjoyed these blocks and games. They work extra hard all week to make sure their assignments are all complete. So, that come Friday they can participate in Free Time. These books, library accessories, and games have been such motivators. I even had a parent tell me that the child didn't want to miss school because they wanted to have Free Time.
The students were very excited when they saw the packages arrive. They had lots of questions and comments. They couldn't wait to get their hands on all the game and new story books.
We are so grateful. Your generosity has made such an impact on our classroom. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Feb 14, 2022We sincerely thank you for your generosity. Our students have greatly enjoyed reading our new story books in the cozy reading nook. Students look forward to choosing humorous titles from our class library and sitting down to have a good laugh. The reading nook and the new books have made it easier for students to work toward their Accelerated Reader goals. In first grade students work all year to make 50 points in Accelerated Reader.
