Music for Every Child
Funded Nov 15, 2024Thank you so much for your wonderful donations to our program. The kids are super happy making music and performing. Your contributions play a vital role in their continued successes.
Each year our students perform in several concerts, community events and other school events. We have grown into a somewhat large program with several components including a percussion class, 2 band classes and chorus.
One of our favorite performances is our annual Holiday Spectacular. Every ensemble performs in an outdoor setting under the stars. We put up Christmas lights and many decorations to make it look super festive. We serve hot chocolate and sell homemade brownies. It really is a ton of fun.
We will soon be starting working on our annual Spring concert. This year's theme is Broadway from Stage to Screen.”

Funded Jan 1, 2024Thank you kindly for your generous donations towards our music program.
The reeds and other music supplies that were purchased are being use everyday in the classroom by a multitude of our students.
The kids love the fact that they do not have to provide this necessary tool to play their instruments. We are currently working towards our final concert of the year entitled "Pop Rocks". It will feature music of the pop and rock genres. It has been a fun experience working with this bunch of kids this year.
Thank you again for your support.”

Music for Every Child
Funded Oct 17, 2022Thank you for your generousity with your donations.
My students are able to use the reeds everyday in the classroom. The students and parents don't have to worry about providing this extra expense.
When the supplies showed up we were all very excited. Every time a new box shows up to our class, we get very excited. I treat it like like a Christmas present has just arrived.
I stopped class to show off the big box of reeds. There was a big round of applause.
The students are able to use these everyday and state all the time how grate they are to not pay for the extra expense.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and one other donor.Pencils. Pencils. Where Is Your Trusty Pencil?
Funded Jan 20, 2022Thank you so much for the wonderful donation! Your generosity has allowed my students to continue to use pencils all year. They never have to provide their own pencil.
I teach 6-8 grade band, chorus and general music. Although I don't require much writing in these classes, I do require that they have a pencil at all times. I now have enough pencils for every student 10 times over. They all know where they can find the extra pencils and where to put them back if they are borrowing.
This donation have been a blessing and one less thing to worry about this year.
Thank you!!”

Tone Building with Tuners
Funded Dec 7, 2020Thank you so much for your donations! The tuners that were purchased have made a huge impact on our daily routine in the classroom. Students are able to each use one and work with it during class. We love that each student can easily assess their individual tone quality.
Using the tuners have become a part of their daily routine where each student has one on their music stand. We warm up together as a group before tuning as a group. Normally, this individual process could take about 5-10 minutes. The process is now significantly shorter with the help of these tuners.
Students are very grateful for this new technology and are very comfortable with using them on a daily basis.
We thank each and every one of you that donated.”

Funded Feb 5, 2015Thank you for your generous donations towards our school's performing arts programs. The kids were extremely excited to use our sound board. We have used it several times in different capacities.
We used the sound board to help amplify the sound of our performers in our spring musicals. The kids were excited to use the new equipment. They enjoyed learning about the equipment and how it worked.
We have also used the microphones and sound board to amplify our chorus performances. The chorus is made up of all girls and they were excited at the opportunity to use them. For some, they had never used a microphone before and it was a fun experience for them to hear themselves for the first time.
Overall, the impact of these mics and sound board have boosted our performing arts programs immensely. We are proud to be able to have such equipment.”

Funded Apr 30, 2014Thank you once again for your generous donation of funds toward the new buckets in our classroom. The students are excited to be using them everyday. We finally have enough buckets for each student to use one. We will be performing in a concert at the beginning of next month with these buckets. The students are very excited about this concert and the fact that they will finally be able to play together. We will also be able to use these buckets for next year. Hopefully this will be a the next step to building a larger program in the future. Thanks!”
