Trip to the Zoo!

Virtual Trip to the Bronx Zoo
Funded Jan 15, 2021Students were able to take a virtual trip to the aquarium! They had a fantastic time! They logged on to our virtual platform and were transported to the aquarium on Coney Island!
Students played education games, learned about animals that live deep in the water and were introduced to a sea urchin!
After the trip, students were able to create their own underwater sea creatures! They used colored pencils to create their own animals!
Students were inspired by the trip and were talking about underwater animals for the rest of the week!”

Document Camera for Virtual Learning!
Funded Sep 9, 2020Thank you so much for helping support my classroom! We are able to use the visualizer during online learning. I can display texts, math problems and writing over Google Meet when students are working from home! Students are better able to understand lessons thanks to your donation!
The visualizer helps make online lessons more interactive, clear, and exciting! Daily, we use the visualizer to display our read-alouds, workbooks, math problems and writing work.
In addition, we received a Scholastic News subscription with your donation. On fun Friday's, we read the nonfiction articles and discuss current events. Students benefit from reading nonfiction texts and understanding real world events.”

Chromebooks for Second Grade
Funded Dec 20, 2019Thank you so much for your donation! We have received the Chromebooks! We have been able to incorporate this technology into our learning! Our students are so excited to have access to the internet to use educational websites!
The Chromebooks were definitely needed in our classroom! In Reading and Math our students have been logging on to websites such as Lexia and Prodigy. These websites allow students to access their accounts and complete lessons based on their individual needs.
Our students have been more excited about learning! They are eager to begin research and learn new skills!

Scholastic News Subscriptions!

The Scholastic News papers were definitely needed in our classroom! We have incorporated a weekly nonfiction reading period where students are able to utilize the article as well as the online components.

Help Us Print!
Funded Jul 13, 2015Thank you so much for your donation! We have received the printer and we have been able to incorporate more colors into our learning! Our students are so excited to be able to see pictures, create charts, and learn in color!
A printer was definitely needed in our classroom! We print homework slips for students daily. Our students have been using the printer to print their work in color. We have also been using it to help our classroom lessons. In reading and writing we have been using the printer for students who are visual learners to better organize their work. In science and social studies we are able to show our students better pictures for understanding.
Our students have been more excited about learning! They are able to see our printouts in color!
