Connect With Mrs. Cook
Funded Sep 8, 2020Thank you very much for the donation of the iPad, pencil, and air buds. I've used this multiple times with individual students, small groups, and in preparing my lessons. This donation has helped me connect with virtual students as well as the students I meet with face to face.
My students have listened to stories, played learning games, and have enjoyed using these devices.
It has helped me prepare lessons. I am able to record lessons quickly and have access to multiple learning tools.
Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cook
This classroom project was brought to life by Tyson Foods and one other donor. On "FIRE" for Learning!
Funded Oct 15, 2015Thank you so much for providing the funds so that my class is able to utilize 5 Kindle Fire tablets. We use these in literacy and math centers. I have downloaded many educational apps that the students enjoy using.
Since implementing these tablets in our classroom I have noticed an improvement in literacy and math skills. Since the tablets only have educational apps appropriate for first grade, these students get a variety of opportunities to master the education material necessary to be successful learners.
One of their favorite apps is Math Duel. They get to face off against another student to see who can solve the math fact the fastest. I've noticed a big improvement in mastery of math facts since we began using this app on the Kindle Fire tablets.
Thank you for your generous donation! It is truly impacted my class for the better.”

Put An End To Slash And Dash!
Funded Aug 28, 2012I am so thankful that you chose to help fund my project. My students are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the base ten materials to aid in their mathematical thinking! With these materials we will be able to learn place value, how to add and subtract larger numbers, and how to make sense of numbers. These materials will help ensure that I am able to implement the Common Core Standards in my classroom. Your donation will have a lasting on my students' education. I appreciate your willingness to help.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cook
