• Math and Measurement

  We cannot thank you enough for the games of Shut the Box and the fun rulers! The kids have been loving playing Shut the Box with friends! It is great because 4 kids can play the game at a time! We have been playing it during math centers and sometimes on Friday afternoons! It is an amazing game to teach addition and strategies to shut the box and be the winner!

  The colored rulers have made measurement fun in the classroom! The kids love our unit on measurement and have enjoyed using the different colored rulers to measure literally everything in our classroom! It's been a lot of fun!”

• Peaceful Learning

  The tennis balls on the bottom of our chairs has made a world of difference in the classroom! The kids were so excited when they arrived. We talked about how the chairs are very noisy when we pull the chairs in and out. They would often disrupt learning if kids were pushing them in and out during learning. We all worked together to get the balls needed for each chair. Our custodians worked hard to place the balls on all 20 chairs in the classroom. The kids got to see how if we all worked together together we can complete a project. I'm so excited to have a more peaceful classroom!”

• Bringing Chrome to the Classroom

  Where do I begin to thank you enough for the amazing chrome books? My students have been begging to get into the technology center each week since we received the new technology! We have been using them for science to do research on weather, in reading to practice our fluency, and in our literacy centers to research bats, inventions, and humorous fiction. It has been so amazing watching the kids get so excited about using a new piece of technology. We thank you all very much for your support, and for bringing chrome to the classroom!”

• Give The Kids An Apple

  Words cannot express how thankful we are to all of you that donated to our project. The kids are absolutely loving using the Macbook! We have been using it a lot in our Centers, and for classroom presentations. I will be teaching the kids how to make a Powerpoint using the Macbook in the next few weeks. I'm sure they will be fascinated with the graphics, and the program! Technology is so important in the classroom, and being able to expose my students to technology using the Macbook has been wonderful! We thank you form the bottom of our hearts.”

• Books in Every Hand

  I would like to thank each of you for making this project a reality for my students! We have been using the mentor texts daily in our Writer's Workshop. The kids love to see concrete examples of how their writing should look and sound. It is so wonderful to have rich texts at my fingertips to share with my kids! This was all possible because of your generosity!

  The day the box of books arrived was wonderful! The kids grew more and more excited with each book that I pulled out! There is nothing better than seeing your students so excited about reading! I appreciate each and every one of you!”

• White Board Wonders

  I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity! My kids were so excited when our new white board arrived! They were so excited to start using our Mimeo bar which makes the white board interactive. The white board was installed the day after we received it, so we were able to get right to work with using it!

  We use the white board on a daily basis. All of our math lessons are done using

  the white board. The kids especially love how big it is and how easy it is to see from anywhere in the room. We have also started using it a lot over the past few months to watch videos. The kids love this!

  This project has definitely helped with my math instruction. Before we had no way to display and use the interactive component of the math program. Now we have full access to so many enrichment activities that having the white board has made possible. I thank you all so very much and my students thank you!”
