  • Watch Me Print, Watch Me Work

    Funded Mar 14, 2022

First I would like to Thank you for helping our students. This wireless portable printer helps our students learn because it provides worksheets for our students. Our school has one printer for the entire school to share so its not always available. With this printer, my students learned how to print from their laptops. They also learned how to trouble shoot the printer.

The most exciting part of the wireless portable printer is taking the printer everywhere with us and it prints. We went outside for an outside lesson project and some students needed some science material printed and they were sad they didn't have all the materials. When I told them I can print what they needed with our printer they were so excited, sitting outside watching it print.

All of my students love the new wireless portable printer and have made a connection with it. They are engaging more with each other and the students collaborate and learn from each other. All my students have become more independent by utilizing of our new printer.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moore

  • Have a Seat Please!!

    Funded Dec 16, 2016

The students are using the new chairs with the biggest smile on their faces . When everyone walks in the classroom its so pleasant and happy. The students love sitting in the chairs, they are so comfortable and beautiful. When my students walked in and saw the chairs they were smiling, screaming and so happy saying "OMG our chairs are in Yesssss!!! Our steps for our next project is to get someone to sponsor it, we have a project for academics. Osmos learning devices are designed for sight words and phonics activities that we would like to put in our centers . This will enhance students ability to read. Again thank you to our donor and Thank you Donors Choose for making these beautiful faces smile again and proud of their classroom and want to learn again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moore

I teach in an older school, with older furniture. We don't have any extra chairs for students to use and many of the chairs we do have are broken. I don't have enough student chairs to use at student desk, "teaching tables" and centers. I'm requesting twenty-five soft plastic traditional chairs. Bright, new furniture also helps make the classroom a warm and welcoming place to learn. Our school is older and much of the furniture in our classroom is nearing the end of its lifespan. I believe that our surroundings have a big impact on our attitudes and believe that the presence of new, functional (and brightly-colored) furniture helps send a message to students that they are worthy of high quality things.
